It's official now, he's released a statement and all.
Loved reading the bit about how he's one of the toughest players in the NRL, I instantly think of that time he took the Oscar-worthy dive to win a game. Then denied it, then later admitted it.

Anyway massive signing for New Zealand, and hopefully this puts another nail in the coffin of souths.

I wonder what this means for Inglis & Johnston.

I can see Johnston going to the Roosters and Inglis going to <Insert highest paying club/code here> off the back of losing Burgess, Te'o & Luke in the space of 12 months.

Edit: Thought Inglis only had 1 year left on his contract, turns out it's 2, he'll probably stay then, but Johnston should join the Chooks.

Not really. They were chasing Taumalolo before Tomkins left, so even swapping Tomkins money to RTS they still had cash to spend.

Realistically I don't see why they would be over the cap. They have Townsend at five eight, Leiluei and Friend at hooker. Not exactly expensive spine players. A lot of their other players are juniors and still on their early career contracts - Lolohea, Kata, Fusitua, Lisone, Vete etc.

Manu might be on bigger money but he's not the games best winger.

PS - Fisiiahi isn't signed for 2016!

Why would Bennett sign an over weight & bone idle lazy centre like Hurrell? One of the big reasons he hasn't been making the team (when all the backs are fit) is because he doesn't train, is overweight and has no commitment to focusing full time on football. He is one person I wouldn't want near my club.

Maybe Bennett would think he could get the best out of Hurrell, seeing as he hasn't really been coached by anyone spectacular. I'd take him at Brisbane in a heartbeat, won't happen though.

If we signed Adam Blair then there's no reason why in theory we shouldn't sign Hurrell.
