NRL Player Movements and Rumours 2015

Interesting 17 for Raiders next year if they land Tamou as well, I wouldn't say they're even close to being a contender, but they'll be an intriguing prospect.

1. Wighton
2. Lee
3. Croker
4. Leilua
5. Waqa
6. Austin
7. Sezer
8. Tamou
9. Hodgson
10. Vaughn
11. Papalii
12. Soliola
13. Fensom

14. Baptiste
15. Boyd
16. Nu'uausala
17. Whitehead / Page / Edwards

That's a pretty strong line-up

If they play to potential they should win more than they lose

I hate saying that :(

Dane Nielson axed from the Dragons effective immediately, lel, he's so bad.

Kurt Gidley has announced his leaving Newcastle at the end of the year.

To me Gidley coped some unfair shit at times during his career here in Australia. At his best I thought he was a good player that would've been useful in pretty much every team and I don't think i've seen a player that could play so many positions. In saying that he is well past his best now and it's about time he moved on from Newcastle and let Mata'utia take over at the back.

Gidley has nothing on Shaun Berrigan.

The writing was on the wall in 2009.

Out of all the terrible signings, one of the worst was Gidley's 4 year deal in 2011. I could understand a 2 year extension with a view to trial him as a dummy half based on a few positive performances for NSW but anything beyond that was stifling the club. Unfortunately they signed him and weeks later they brought in Bennett who had to carry that.

He seems like a great bloke but didn't rate him that highly as a player.

South Sydney Rabbitohs hooker Issac Luke set to sign with New Zealand Warriors

New Zealand hooker Issac Luke has been linked with a stunning move to the Warriors next season and is set to seek a release from South Sydney.

Luke, who played for the Kiwis in last Sunday's 26-12 defeat of Australia, is believed to have told Rabbitohs officials he wants to return to New Zealand for family reasons and talks with the Warriors are so advanced a deal could be announced in days.

It is understood the NRL premiers won't stand in Luke's way given his service to Souths since joining the club from Canterbury in 2007.

Wow.

A) How can the Warriors afford Luke after signing RTS?
B) Why would Souths release him?

I'm thinking the warriors will have to offload a couple of players like Hurrell who seems to be on the outer to fit him in. I think Townsend will be leaving too. And South's wouldn't be wanting to release him but if he is desperate to return home there is not much they can do. You don't want a disgruntled player in your ranks. Other teams better lock there hookers up now because souths will want to buy one for sure now. They must be spewing now they lost Peats and Korisau.

Isn't Cameron McInnes a highly rated hooker and junior kangaroo?

Geez the Warriors' penchant for underachievement will reach inter galactic proportions if they continue to spin their wheels with that roster ....

Yes ... they are desperate to retain him ... Losing Luke will allow them to do that. McInnes wont hang around to stay as a backup when other clubs can offer him more money and a starting position

How insane is their roster going to be next year, I mean seriously.. The only thing they've really lacked in the last few years is a consistent threat at fullback (RTS) and an elite hooker to steer them around (Luke), both of whom can take some pressure of Johnson & Loloahea to play their natural games in the halves.

1. Tuivasa-Sheck
2. Fisiiahi
3. Kata
4. Hurrell
5. Vatuvei
6. Loloahea
7. Johnson
8. Lillyman
9. Luke
10. Matulino
11. Thompson
12. Hoffman
13. Mannering (c)

14. Leuluai
15. Henry
16. Rapira
17. Lisone

Great signing. The Warriors will be a very exciting team next year. Johnson will have a huge season with Luke in front of him. Them playing together at club level should put a bit of fear in to any australian fan too.
