Sounds like yet another drunk football slag who claims rape after she felt regret the next morning. No evidence, so drag his name through the mud to get some cash.

If that was the case, maybe she should of set her sights on something higher rather a no name Australian playing 2 mins a game and earning chump change.

Seeing as the last no-name Aussie didn't bother appearing in court and the plaintiff was awarded one million dollars by default, seems like a legit tactic.

Remember you only need allegations to prove guilt nowadays

Yeah it's pretty concerning that allegations can be splashed all across the headlines like this.

Just heard on the news. Why is it a civil case and not a criminal one?

Has he been charged at all?

Hasn’t been charged criminally.

Civil suits have a lower burden of proof.

Beyond reasonable doubt compared to balance of probabilities

There are so many sexual assault claims these days you gotta wonder if they are all real.

What a week.

We have a player transporting drugs, weapons and cash in Centennial Park and now this.

NRL never fails to impress.

A lot of them sound like BS. Buyers remorse on the part of the chick.

Also, since when was being drunk off their arses absolve women of any wrong doing?

By the sounds of things Hayne lived in a highrise unit? Most elevators and hallways in these places have cameras that would have captured the state this young lady was in? That and the Uber driver's testimony would be the most compelling imo to find out if she was as wasted as she claims to be.

No matter the outcome of the case if she is fall-down drunk and/or passing out in an uber and can't even walk then Hayne is a scumbag imo.

But surely that doesn't absolve the woman of any wrong doing?

Not really sure tbh. I'd rather see what state she and Hayne were in before passing judgement.
You are of course right everyone is responsible for their own actions.

Yes, we really need to categorize which women claiming to be assaulted/abused were drunk off their asses.
