Probably got chosen cos he played with Mason and O'Meley in the Bulldogs glory days.Coxyz said:Ryan is in good form this year, but he's never been up to Origin standard. I've never understood how he made so many rep teams.
Maybe Brett Finch will get picked by his new club coach? ;-)
Would be nice to see Finchy in the 7, feeding the ball to his deadly outside backs in Quinn and Turner. [icon_evillaugh
Agreed Mrslong - I think he is NSW's Carl Webb. I was spewing when they picked Carl Webb over and over, didn't they finally not pick him last year? Best selection call ever. Biggest Myth I swear, I won't deny he brings aggression and he brings bugger all else, his footy at rep level is a farce. End Spray.
Ryan, on the other hand, probly offered a bit more on the footy side but he's selection at rep level was also a mystery. Clearly the weakest out of the 'Monster pack' of the dogs when they were in form, ironically the stablest hence the captaincy. The rest had a couple of loose screws that is for sure! Notice how they all dropped form when they left clubs apart from Asotasi? Taking a consistent level approach.
