http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,865 ... 14,00.htmlNewcastle Knights fullback Kurt Gidley is shaping as a shock five-eighth candidate for New South Wales in the opening game of this year's State of Origin series.
The Australian understands NSW is considering naming Gidley and Sydney Roosters' Mitchell Pearce in the starting line-up for the series opener at Etihad Stadium on June 3.
I agree. Even with Campese at 6 they'll be dangerous.Beads6 said:1. Gidley
6. Mullen
7. Wallace
9. Ennis
I think if NSW pick those 4 players they will go close to winning Origin.

I know, he is a Stagg-like player, in that he can tackle and make a few metres but isn't particularly hard to contain. Probably got chosen cos he played with Mason and O'Meley in the Bulldogs glory days.Coxyz said:Ryan is in good form this year, but he's never been up to Origin standard. I've never understood how he made so many rep teams.
Maybe Brett Finch will get picked by his new club coach? ;-)
