[OFFICIAL] Anthony Milford to Broncos

As I've said that's all clubs, young kids with huge egos, too much time and money. Canberra seems to be the club that acts on it more though and not sweep it under the carpet, it starts in junior leagues with coaches not caring about off field behaviour as long as they believe the kid can help them win and that attitude is already there by the time they hit first grade. Broncos have had their fair share just need to look at the current captain.
Canberra don't sweep things under the carpet, didn't Carney and Dugan have like 20 infringements each before finally getting the sack? Lol.

They sacked the bloke in the passenger seat when Carney played GTA Canberra.

I know for a fact that the Raiders kept Tilse being arrested for punching on in town quiet.

Was it Carney that pissed on that dude in a pub (team mate maybe?) and caused a big brawl? Canberra, lol.

Can't remember but it's common for douchebaggery to occur no matter the pub

I don't disagree with what you said about us developing halves recently, though Hunt looks like a decent prospect.

.

Hunt is still a prime example, won player of the year way back in 08 against some great talent but is only just starting to look the goods

Without Hodges I'd rate the raiders as a better team than us but I'll be oh so happy if we make the eight and they don't which is a distinct posibility. Furner deserves that with the way he has handled this.
Losing both Campo and now Fensom it wouldn't surprise me in the least

Correct, each had a list of misdemeanors as I'm sure other players at the Raider do and at all clubs Broncos included, not many clubs would sack their stars though.

Not sure if the Raiders ever will again though, I think they've learnt after Dugan that they won't get the support from the NRL

Family is everything but so is honor and integrity he can have all 3, if family is everything shouldn't you look after the people who looked after you and your family rather than the ones who wanted nothing to do with them until you hit the top?

Sorry mate not sure if you know anyone who has had dealings with Gee but its easy to see his stench on this if you know his rep.

Lets pretend the broncs hadnt done anything dodgy, they're still not allowed to negotiate anything at this point yet they're willing to kick both Wallace and Prince out, doesn't that suggest some sort of agreement has been made already, what about the titans, shouldn't Ayoub wait till Milford is actually free to negotiate and see who comes up with the best offer out of the broncs and titans, that would be best for his client.

oh please, like Brisbane is the first club to engage in this sort of thing ?!

Not at all mate, they're doing their job doesn't make it any less dodgy though

First, you're completely overlooking that Milford has a right, apparently, to terminate the contract with the Raiders if his father is sick, or if he misses his family. That's not unlike a finance condition in a contract of sale for a house. The Raiders are schmucks for agreeing to a clause as open ended as that. But they did.

Would say every person that has pulled out of a contract because of finance is "dodgy"?

Second, you've made an assumption that the Broncos have contacted Milford.

Finally, don't hate the player, hate the game.

Rightio... You've had dealings with Gee, have you?

Mate, you are seriously overestimating the value of a footy club when compared with family. I know it's not the same, as the Broncos don't pay my salary, but I love that club dearly! Yet, they wouldn't have a chance if it came to a choice between them and my family!

Honour and integrity? Do you mean what the Raiders mngmt lack, given they accepted to put a clause in Milford's contract to allow him to be released should he want to return to Brisbane to be with his ill father, and are now being dickheads by trying to force him to stay?

Why do you think that clause was placed there in the first place? Pretty sure it was the only way the Raiders were able to hold on to Anthony, who acquiesced to stay and see if he could relocate his family to Canberra just to stay with the club.

Turns out the family doesn't want to move to the arsehole of Australia, something no one that has been there, can blame in good conscience, so Tony thought... I've given it my best, but it's time to part ways by activating that clause, but I'll always be grateful to the Raiders for what they have done for me. We all know how that's going...

Yeah, chances are the young kid has more honour and integrity in his pinky than the whole Furner family.

As to the ramblings about our youth production at the GH and us suddenly being this big bad bully who is going to steal your players, you seem to forget what happened to our most promising spine star and future club captain... He decided to give the gayfl a go.

No doubt the Raiders have excellent development, but just because we are in a lull after having lost K Hunt and Lockyer in recent years, with Norman and Hunt not delivering on their promise (not yet as far as Hunt goes), doesn't mean we're gonna turn into the silver tails, and it certainly does not give you licence to shoot your mouth just because you lost two ****wits and a kid who just wants to go home to be with his family!

Something is wrong with the forum - I can't like this post twice :)

@Bushman at the end of the day mate you can go on and on about the broncos, milford, ayoub etc. and blame anyone but your club but the fact of the matter is that there is a clause in the contract and milford has asked for a release. Now none of us really know's the exact wording of the clause is but it is clear it was intended for this purpose. If furner et al have been sneaking with the wording then it will probably mean that milford has to stay in Canberra for one more year before returning, but thats about all you have. You guys can convince yourself all you want that if you just through money at him he will stay but I highly doubt it. Milford is a talent and can play in the halves or basiclally anywhere in the backline (you only have to look at the amount of money a useless prick like norman has gotten to realise he can get money anywhere) so why would he want to extend with your highly desirable club after the way furner has handled this?

with your shit stain of a club

Sigh, you really expect good discussion from an opposition fan when you drop this at the end of your post.

You posed a good question, that antagonising comment isnt necessary mate.
