Milford? Who's he?
Last edited:
Ah ok, thought you were using Papa as an example of not caring like you were doing with Milf. They moved Papas family down have been looking after em.
They've been dealing with home sick Qlders from way back since the glory days all those many years ago, there's other ways around it rather than just returning home.So...they've identified Big Papa's issues and will sort them - that's great.
But go on to say Milf's issue is homesickness yet still refuse to release him?
Good player management right there.
Not saying this is cut and dried, it seems anything but, however this just doesn't make sense. It's all well and good to deal with the issues as long as those issues don't involve leaving? That just sounds terrible...
For a start they were waiting till the off season so he still may be released but you cant blame them for taking a strong stance with all the proven lies in the media. Strong support structure, friends, higher pay, making family feel welcome etc would help and something which hasn't seemed to have been mentioned here is he was on the drink with family members in NZ not just a random session.Like what?
Milf has a clause to go home, Canberra refuse to play ball yet come out saying player welfare is paramount. Massively hypocritical and getting on the drink is a sign that the stresses are getting to him

Milford lives with Papas family who he has adopted as his own so he has the strong cultural ties around him and there are a lot of other Islanders in the Raiders system who appear to be Milfords closest friends there (not Dugan and Fergo thankfully). Better to be surrounded and close mates with people who are trying to make it in professional sport than local Inala kids surely, Qlds version of Redfern.
It would be easier to take your posts seriously if you didn't only show up when a massively biased article from your hero tuxy was published
Every article is biased especially the ones published by the CM that lied about Halo not being able to travel and unable to move due to his health :P Like you guys I just can't wait for it to end one way or another and we'll all see things in a perspective that suits our hopes. It's interesting to note Ayoubs threats have disappeared for now I'm sure there's a few conspiracies both sides could come up with about that :)
Edit: Tim Gavel just tweeted that Milford has said Ayoub is going to Canberra tomorrow to sort out his future so hopefully we'll all find out soon enough what he's doing.
Edit 2: Damn also been tweeted Ricky has signed for 3yrs, by Buzz though so hope he's wrong :(
Be nice mate knowing Ricky he'll probably choose to let Milf go and replace him with Norman

Anyone who's interested here's an interview with Milf after winning the Mal Meninga medal at tonight's awards

The award was deserved it wasn't a sweetenerThe fact that he didn't give a definitive answer speaks volumes, even after receiving the sweetener award from Canberra to try and woo him into staying.
