Barba has speed. That's sort of why we need him so much.

Regardless of that, our outside backs aren't speedy because our dipshit coach makes them pile on muscle and flab that they don't need. Signing a gun centre/winger does not preclude them from meeting the same fate.

Exactly , we always get run down no one seems to have acceleration or speed like most of the top sides like Morris Brothers , Jennings , slater etc. We need speed

Totally agree gagai and ed Rick Lee would be awesome pairing

Players like barba, real gamebreakers and superstars of the game, will cost you at least $700k from here on out. When the cap nearly doubles in 3 years you won't get one for under a million. If barba wants a million we need to give it to him, if only to try and attract another great player. Then its easier to get another, and another, and so on.

It may be a different story if there were another 10 gamebreakers to choose from but there isn't so you pay what the market dictates.

Getting guys like Barba will have an immediate effect on the players around him as they will have more room to move just because he needs so much attention. Any one who has seen him play will now how many tries he scores from putting other players into space then backing up.

Another flow on is the kids who grow up watching Barba in a Broncos jersey wanting to be like him and play for the Broncos. If he stays on the field we will get a return on our money in spades
