You can't just "piss Barba off". He's an extremely talented player that's down on confidence and doesn't have his head right. You clearly see his head is not in the game.

What we are going to do with Milford/Barba next year doesn't matter. It's next year.

This year Barba is down on confidence and struggling with the high balls and also seems to struggle to work out where to put himself in attack so he should be switched to 5/8.

Hoffman struggles in attack at 5/8 but we all know he is safe at the back under the high ball so put him at fullback. He barely gets the ball in attack anyway and would still be able to come in on the odd occasion and do what he does now except perhaps Hunt, Hodges, Barba or even Thaiday could put him in a bit of a hole first before he gets the ball instead of now where he just gets tackled or on the very odd occasion passes. Who knows? perhaps playing 5/8 for this year may have actually helped his ball playing skills at fullback.

We saw last night, if Hodges plays the Fullback role and uses Hoffman as a hole runner, it can work well. That inside ball was fantastic. It's how Hodges should be used. Not wasted on the right hand side and doing dummy half runs.

Milford does this quite a bit as well.

I can understand the argument of leave him play where he is because currently that appears to be his best position. IMO we haven't yet seen the full package of Milford's abilities watching him play at fullback.

He could be much more than just a dynamic hole runner with a fantastic step.

He can read a game.....he's creative.....his passing game is already night and day compared to last year. He also has a very under rated kicking game.

I know Barba is playing like shit....tbh, I don't know what we're going to do with him. At this point I'd be more comfortable with Milford at 5/8 ...Hoffman fullback and piss Barba off.

no matter how bad Barba might be playing you don't piss him off for Hoffman unless you're playing him I the wing.

I think Barba looks lost due to our lack off second faze play. I'd put him 5/8 next week and tell him just go out and have fun and throw the ball around. Our seasons over now so I'd get him use to playing 6 next year. Get Kennedy back in first grade and give him a descent go until end of year to see what his got.

Probably doesnt need to be in a milford thread but I obviously know this, but its not the end of our season by a long shot. Have shown we can play well, just need to stiffen up our defence a bit and we can still have a crack at the finals.

Which is a crying shame because we finally have an awesome half, who could come a bees dick from winning the Dally M from outside the 8.

Meh, look at hayne. A few injuries and confidence issues kept him from his peak for 4 years. Sure his out if form was better than Barbas by a mile but that's because he's a much better player and his low wasn't rehab low.

I couldn't blame him for not playing at his peak for the Eels for a couple of years. Apart from him and 2 other blokes the team was full of duds and deadwood. Billy Slater could've been the Eels fullback during 2010-2013 and he would've struggled for form.

More specifically, Kasiano. Pritchard & Graham were great at passing at the line, but that was most specifically to create space in general, whether for Barba or the halves. Kasiano's job was always to charge, suck in 4 defenders, and offload to a flying Barba.
