[Official] - Milford signs with Broncos

the Rd 13 standard contract clause mandated by the NRL, has been removed by both parties (Broncos and Milford)

Many of the Raiders fans and Bronco haters alike have been trying to claim that neither the Broncos nor Milford can have that clause removed ... only the Raiders can

If you want a good laugh head over to the GH, but I'll sum it up for you to save time:

'We should sue the ungrateful **** for breech of contract'

'This is all about money, the Broncos are paying him more than us, just under the table'

'The Broncos are responsible for this whole mess, the Broncos did this, the Broncos did this, Hey someone listen to me, the Broncos did this

The NRL can certainly cancel a players registration to participate in the NRL 100% or for a particular club - we have had many examples of this over the last few years so realistically if Milford and Ayoub keep on causing conflict as to him not returning to Canberra next year then the kid either stands down and not play for the year in which case Canberra misses out on his services anyway but still have the money tied up unless they sack him from the club - like Ferguson for not turning up - and if they do sack him then the NRL can decide if he can play for a different club and in this case they would definitely say YES
As I see it the STUPID Raiders are in a no win situation and will be forced one way or another to release him otherwise there the other Indians at Canberra will revolt
AND REALLY WHO GIVES A TOSS ABOUT CRY BABY STUART AND THE RAIDERS

There are two possibilities here:

- Ayoub baited the Raiders into making a false statement, allowing Milford to call them out on the lies, and add another weapon to the arsenal in case this matter ends up in court.

- Ayoub is looking at the 2.1 Mil on offer from the Raiders, which is a hell of a lot more than the contract with the Broncos, and is trying to manipulate Milford into staying at the Raiders for a bigger payday.

Although I wouldn't put it past him, I don't think the second option is realistic, if it is indeed true that the Rd 13 standard contract clause mandated by the NRL, has been removed by both parties (Broncos and Milford).

$BW... really?
Bushman, looks like your theory about this being money induced is crumbling apart... what a surprise!

My take on this situation with ayoub a and him saying raiders in 14 and milf different is that the raiders did in fact offer a huge amount for just next to stop them from taking this to the courts. So ayoub sees $$$ and thinks one year of massive contract and broncos after that... Clearly he didn't talk to anthony first

Yeah I saw that and thought, yes that's what you call his original contract - the one that also has a get out clause that you are conveniently ignoring.

Exactly. That's all that tweet means. The NRL endorsed the original contract that includes 2014. There is no new piece of paper from Milford/Ayoub from the last couple of days saying he'll honour it.

I bet that piece of info that was given to Gavel was straight from Genius Stuart, thinking "that'll show them!"

We do not have to be very smart to figure who is telling fairy tales - Tricky Ricky Dicky Stuart would not lie straight in bed - he has a LOT of form on the board to back this up over the last 6 years or so and fair dinkum the Raiders are a basket case from Furner down - and we thought the Eels were ad at running a club!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway - where is the written agreement if it exists - one would think that would be trotted out front and centre if it was true just to prove a point

Exactly, if this agreement exists (and it isn't the original contract) it would be plastered everywhere by now

Ricky: "baldrik, I mean don... I have a cunning plan"

There's obviously some bad blood between Milford and Stuart now.

What type of attitude does Ricky think Milford will have next year?
Knowing he's being forced to be there, against his will?

So after all this, Milf is a 50/50 for playing for Raiders next year. Around and around we go
