[Official] - Milford signs with Broncos

He is a question for all of those who say Hoffman is a terrible 6 and we should get Milford at all costs. What do we do if the raiders offers 1.2mil and he wants us to match it .Declare your position. I say have fun with sticky Milf. Great player but not at that price. Team harmony is more important.

Yeah. He also claimed several times last year that his 'source' said he would re-sign with the raiders... This was about a week before he signed with us
 
Milford will be a great addition to our squad next year to parter Hunt in the halves (who seems to have settled in at this point in time). Having said that, we still have kids like Kodi Nikorima and Zach Strasser running around, who aren't completely hopeless. Then there's that kid called Jordan Kahu, he can play a bit too.
 
Reality: media going bonkers, Milford's just focusing on playing well for his team.

See how it plays out closer to Round 13, which ironically is against Canberra in Canberra :laugh:

Was that Papa's church to? The loyalty is to family first so could all depend how his parents have settled in to Canberra and how his brother is handling school there. **** with the way doctors are resigning Qld due to Newman they might need to stay in canberra for his dad.

Cant trust any media source in all this, won't know 100% till round 13 (unless he does stay and his contract is registered),still think this is a ploy from Ayoub to try and get your offer increased.
 
Boring... There will be a couple of these every week or so.

Can't wait until someone takes a player and/or the NRL to court on this.
 
Milford said he would honour his Canberra contract and he is.
He also said he would honour his Brisbane contract and I believe he will.
Simple as that really.

I wonder what Canberra would call us if he changed his mind after Round 13 and we refused to release him. Heartless? Greedy? Hell, they'd probably think the term "Queenslander" is enough of an insult in itself.

Bout half way through they asked Stuart about Milford staying and he says that all they are concerned about is keeping him happy and healthy for this year. When asked have they spoken to him about staying Stuart says "we know he has signed with brisbane and we are holding up our side of the bargain and not talking about it" or something along those lines.

So is that how they got Milford to agree to stay this year? Did they have to agree to not try and talk him into staying? Stuart was at pains to say that 1 mill offer was all media talk and had nothing to do with them.

To me it sounds like he said I will stay this year but if you pressure me to stay etc. I'll sit out

I wouldn't believe a word that came out of Stuarts mouth.
 
Watching Milford play this last month, I'm so bloody stoked he has signed with us and will be playing for us next year.

He is unpredictable. The defense doesn't know whether he is going to run, pass or kick and I've noticed they tend to hold off him. He has done some pretty spectacular things.

He is the spark that Broncos desperately need.
 
I find it funny that the Canberra media is trying to make Broncos fans scared with all the "Milford must backflip" nonsense. When really the only real quote there has been was from Milford himself saying he will honour his Broncos deal.
 
My take on it is that the Raiders and Stuart are reluctant to put any pressure on Milford because they know it will backfire. Direct pressure anyway. Their ploy is therefore to "leak" reports of $1m deals, that they are hurting because he's leaving, that he's the future of the club. Stuart will of course deny all of it (he already is) but you just know Sticky The Genius is trying every trick in the book.
