Macca isn't ****, he's just really, REALLY mediocre. Great defence combined with terrible attack (bad decision making and bad service). Not good enough to win a premiership with at the moment, and despite what people like to think, hooker is a key position.

I wouldn't go as far to say his mediocre, on his day he can be potent in attack, his biggest problems are definitely inconsistency and decision making, if he doesn't improve there this season his holding back our spine for the future. Granville is an option but I wouldn't want to rely solely on him as a fail safe either. I do agree with you on hooker being a key position though not one to be underestimated, we need far better dummy half service then we are getting to speed up the momentum of our sets and someone with vision who knows where to run and when to attack the tryline.

Yeah things definitely changed with Parker and the Panthers. Moley also said Thaiday is checking his options out in the Super League for the 2014 season.

I think that's a fair comment Alec. It's not so much that Mc is total crap.......being mediocre is an apt way to describe him. But he hasn't been alone in that department for a number of years, Brisbane have suffered with many other mediocre players.

It's appeared as though at the end of 2013 a line has been drawn in the sand for some of these guys.

It's a positive step towards our resurgence as a RL identity.

Yeah nobody should be happy with Smith not joining the Broncos, despite his age, he would've delivered us a couple of premierships with our current squad, in my opinion.

that's cooky talk ... would've improved our side and our play / leadership but our current squad is much more than just a cameron smith shy of a premiership, let alone a dynasty...

there are so many factors and elements and luck ect that all have to align absolutely perfectly for any side to win a premiership nowadays ...
