Our new halfback should be

Has Kahu ever played halfback? I'm aware of his 5/8 days but not sure it would translate.
I don't think he has the skills required. If people (that includes me) think Hunt lacks some skills required in a halfback, that is even more true for Kahu... and anyone else we have at the moment.

If we do manage to get "Jikorima" back, I'd try him for sure, even though he has a lot to learn.
At this point though, other than Hunt, the only guy I would play in the position until we have an actual halfback, would be Marshall.
Like @Unbreakable said, he's only 31, has skills and kicking, and albeit he failed at the Dragons in the halfback position... let's not forget it was at the 2016 Dragons!

So, thinking long term- does Billy Walters have any sort of a future at Red Hill?

Billy Walters is more a hooker/five-eighth though isn't he

At the start of last season the club drew sam scarlett, darren nicholls, and tod murphy to play for the feeder clubs. any of them up for a challenge?

I dunno I tend to recall back in 2011, Marshall just needing to put in a standard kick to win the game for the tigers in a semi in the dying minutes, instead he puts up a bomb, the warriors go up the other end and score?

I hope he has matured since...

Nah not really. Going off his history of being a WC winning HB and coming second in the Dally Ms in 2015, but a lot can change in a year. JT and Cronk are both a couple years older as well, so he has to be past it.

We signed Nathan Fien?

Benji was pretty good in '15.

What about Macca at Half, Niko and Benji to share hooker? Macca has definitely the best long kicking game in our team and has done a few handy grubbers too. Rock solid in defence and could probably do a good job there.

I don't think he has much in the way of play making, per se. Would be worse than Hunt for Milf.

Macca has played in the halves for the Broncos before and I have to say, he was terrible.

I think I would prefer we just get a specialist half.

whats this Scarlett guy like? .. pretty sure they had some wraps on him at the Panthers

Question? Why do we have kodi? If not a half, then which position? There must be a plan for his development. I've been told he is more suited to fullback, but if he is waiting behind Boyd as a fullback, he'll be waiting a while as things stand and isn't his contract up for renewal? Id want to move on if I were him unless he knows something we don't. If its to be Marshall at half I think we'd have to face losing kodi for him. Fair enough but then we'd better be stocking up on the generation after him kostani staggs etc. As the whole spine barring Milford would be the same age. I'd also be making a real play for Taylor but only if Milford improves his defence considerably. Weve always had one half who was decent defender (for a half)

I really don't think Kodi features in the Broncos long-term plans but at the moment he wants to stay and Broncos are happy to keep him because of our lack of depth.

Word is Broncos want their next halfback to be an organizing half who compliments Milford.

That's not Kodi.

Apparently parra are chasing Ash Taylor for 2018 !!

Darren Nicholls left to for panthers after leaving us for souths and returning last season to no avail.

I've seen pics of Todd Murphy in pre season training and Sam Scarlett in last year's pre season, but can't say for certain about this year. Never seen either play but heard good things.

Is there no half who has solidly guided their ISC team around the park for a sustained period for anyone that follows Qcup closely? Do either of the above fit that bill? (for norths and souths Logan if I'm not mistaken?)

You spelt your cousins first name wrong Daniel. Or is kostoni another talented relation of kotoni staggs-O'dowd
