Pathetic Sydney Roosters Crowds

yeah who has time to guarantee themselves the good seats to a game of the best 34 players in the league when there are so many more things to do in Sydney that arent available anywhere else in Australia, like clubs, beaches, casinos.......

Nothing like going to the beach on a winter night! I can see why it's popular!

Sugar coat it all you like. Old is now the home of league.

.. My friend Choppy Close has something to say about that.

[quote="Big Pete":n7vdb1yp]That's pathetic.

It's an Origin game, how can you not sell out one let alone both?

Sydney really does suck when it comes to turning up to representative games.

We do sell out Origins. Was a sell out only last year. Short memory???[/quote:n7vdb1yp]

Not straight away.

The tickets are never in as high a demand as Queensland.

and they are doing 2 for 1 offers!!!! selling a game out doesnt count when half the bloody tickets are free!!

Dont give me that "our stadium is bigger" rubbish. You and every blue supporter knows that we would sell out a 100,000 capacity stadium

1. Our stadium is bigger to fill.

That really is the most ridiculous argument. Sydney has a population of approx 4.5 million while Brisbane's is about 2 million. To make your point valid ANZ stadium would need to seat more than 2.25 times the capacity of Suncorp, ie. approx 120,000 people.

But there's more to do in Sydney, schmix. People enjoy the beaches, the night life and restaurants, and blue mountains etc...yes, even on a cold winter's night midweek...

You're right. Tonight I am heading out for a gourmet dining experience, then might visit a club in the cross, then I'll hit up Coogee for a midnight swim. Tomorrow night is pretty much the same...in fact, the rest of the week is.

I don't want to buy origin tickets in advance just in case something better comes up. No doubt it will, this being Sydney and all.

You make it out like a big joke but seriously, it's true. Sydney is more lively than Brisbane, more things to do, better things to do, Sydney is the party life!!!

While you wierdo's up North can continue doing....something. Whatever you do up there. Sitting on your bums at the footy, drinking beer like the redneck bogans you are. Hanging out with begging homeless people in the Valley. Nothing else to do in Brisbane....sleeping on park benches....*yawn* I'm getting bored and tired already just thinking about it.

Going out in Sydney > Going to the Footy.

Ipso fatso, Alejandro, Sydney ISN'T the heart and soul of rugby league.

Thanks for proving us right.

Boom.

Keep digging Shaun [icon_lol1.

Our argument is also based on:

- we have had higher attendances to International league matches than Sydney has had for about 20 years
- the Broncos have topped the highest crowd averages in the league for almost all of the years of their existence
- QLD supports Origin far better than NSW
- TV ratings in QLD are higher (percentage wise) than NSW

The only thing the NSWRL and Sydney clubs have on us is their clubs have been in the competition longer than ours....big fucking whoop.

:P
