We have a glut of outside backs, and more if you consider we also had Arthars on our books, and slated to return next season. Cobbo, Staggs, Farnworth and Oates are locks. Barring injury hard to see Lee, Mead, Pereira, Quai-Ward or Isaako getting a look in.

Herbie to the wing, Selwyn to stay at centre, I reckon is pretty much a done deal. The other way around if you think Kevvie will rate defence over attack at centre.

I think Selwyn is a better defender than Herbie .

There's no chance Cobbo plays anything other than right wing outside Oates for the foreseeable future.

Cobbo should definitely stay on the wing for awhile. I don't like the idea of dumping him straight into the deep end at fullback when Niu is in the squad. Ease him into first grade on the wing, let him find his legs. Niu will be serviceable enough until Cobbo matures then they can swap positions.

Anyway I wanna see Cobbo under some Reynolds kicks into the corner.

He's wasted on the wing. Herbie, on the other hand, can happily play his natural game at the end of the back line.

I was trying to find a positive for Herbie closer in. It's settled then: Selwyn centre, Herbie wing.

Definitely, Herbie can play his natural game that he played in 2021 from the wing not much changes still does his metre making etc. Putting Cobbo on the wing he's basically going to become a battering ram like Herbie and Oates if you want him getting involved.
Staggs and Cobbo can be 2 strike centres Herbie and Oates can be your metre makers their already really good at that. Just need to feed the centres good early ball.
And I'd be going Herbie next to Staggs and Cobbo and Oates the other side.

I hate to break it but Niu's only hope is probably Fullback at this club. Likelihood is there will be no swapping and that's why I think its so much harder to drop Tesi because once he loses that spot to Selwyn he won't get it back, even if Selwyn plays average the second you put Selwyn in you have to continue investing time into turning him into our fullback. But yes I agree with Cobbo on the wing or centres for now cause at the end of the day Tesi finished last year with a bang and improved in so many areas every game. Underrated as hell his finish to the season from him but he isn't a winger and centre's are stacked at this club with Staggs locked down and well lets be real they are keeping a spot warm for Deine Mariner in a year or two. Herbie, Brenko and even maybe someone like Della rank above him in the centres department at the moment. Not to mention Cobbo is a better centre in the unlikely event that the Broncos pick up a top bench fullback and keep Cobbo in the outside backs. I actually really like Niu unlike a lot of people who seem very unfazed by his ability and his selection however really he needs to be a top bench Fullback to keep his spot in our side. Might even find Tesi starts transitioning into a 6 post his Fullback days to try and partner Mam but that is ages away.

Well I believe Hamiso is playing Fullback for club so you would think he probably doesn't get selected at centre for origin (possibly wing). So the two positions Cobbo might play is Right Wing and Left Centre and really they are very much open for the taking. Not to mention he likely could play opposing wing if they wanted Coates on the right cause lets be real he is at the Storm so he is going to absolutely pop off. But right centre is off the cards unless Gagai gets injured. You know a lot of people from other clubs would laugh at what you just said, to be honest the thought had never crossed my mind but he is 100% within a shot if he plays the way he ended that season.

I didn't but Kevvie seems fairly adamant on Jordan Pereira right wing. Which would probably mean Cobbo shifts to left centre (unlikely left wing cause he won't have much to work with outside Albert/Gamble and then Herbie doesn't give any ball let alone early ball) and then Herbie to the wing in place of Oates who I think must be losing the plot a bit cause I haven't really heard anyone say a good word about him and all he did was admit he didn't give a shit or an effort for 2 years.

You're seriously buying that shit. The bloke has played more games of first grade at Centre than Wing they didn't have an issue with throwing him in the deep end when Kev's job and reputation was on the line and he did such an amazing job at centre. Bradman Best one of the highest rated centres offensively and Selwyn made him his bitch DEFENSIVELY, Selwyn is known for his offence not his defence. So tell me why the **** the bloke who is 4 bad games from Tesi away from being thrown at fullback, which truly is the deep end, isn't mature enough skill wise to play centre. Your all turning into a bunch of pussies cause Dearden didn't go the way we all hoped, in the end that turned out pretty well we have Reynolds and arguably a better prospect in Mam coming through. There is a difference between wearing the 7 for the biggest club in the comp fan-based wise than their is to playing in the centres. Let's not forget that Selwyn is 100% an NRL calibre player, take one look at his q-cup stats which he dominated and take a look at his NRL form last year and you will find the kid is good enough and well and truly competent enough to handle the pressures of playing fucken centre. Kevin barely has a clue now let alone a month(/s) ago when Cobbo was first playing right wing. He seems pretty intent (Happy?) at playing Jordan on the right wing which really only 2 players are realistically likely to be selected there him or Cobbo and he seems to think the side would be better balanced with Herbie left wing, Cobbo left centre and Jordan Right wing. I wonder why?
