Player Movements and Rumours 2012

Now that's something I could get real excited about.

The guy is going to be a star, I really hope we go for him. He isn't like a Ben Hunt NYC Player of the Year where he is just a solid reliable player in a weak league. This guy tore sides apart with an array of skills most under 20's don't have.

Hopefully it does happen. We need someone for after next year. I don't see Prince playing out his two years.

a guy at work who is a MASSIVE eels fans reckons they are looking at releasing hayne. now i find this near on impossible to believe. have any of you boys and girls heard any whispers? if it were true i can only imagine it would be to free up cap space to sign folau but that would be silly if you ask me......

The Hayne talk has come from Danny Weidler.

Eff no. Doesn't pass the no-peckerhead policy.

so your saying you would rather have a presumably " good guy " like hoffman at fullback rather than a superstar and yeah lets face it, a douche, like hayne.

I think Hayne cops a bit of a bad wrap at times. He's a bit douchey on the field but as a person he's never seemed that bad to me.

Don't know if I want us to sign him though.

I don't know. There's no doubt the guy has as much talent as he is a douche, but he also has a crappy attitude on the field...

If the Broncos system was able to set him straight as far as his work ethic on the field, I'd love him at Red Hill even if I had to vomit a little bit in my mouth...

I can deal with douchey players, Farrah for instance. I'm more concerned with attitude and frankly, his stinks. He has the slowest play the ball in the game with Boyd - they'd prefer to have a self-serving whinge than suck it up and set-up for their team mates - IMO a reflection that team team players they ain't.

Jarryd Hayne‘s manager, Wayne Beavis, has been whispering to rival clubs that Hayne will test his worth on the open market as the Parramatta Eels stock up on big-name backs. Squeezing Hayne in under the cap in years to come will be a challenge if Israel Folau‘s management team get its way.

Take it as fact – the asking price from Folau’s agent is $1 million a season. Good judges in the game say that is about $400,000 more than his market value. Folau is not being greedy. He has had talks with the Eels without his agent and knows what he is worth.

Hayne will be a prime target for teams across league, rugby and perhaps even AFL when he comes off contract at the end of next season. The issue for the Eels is that they will have about $2 million invested in Will Hopoate, Chris Sandow and Folau.

Some absolutely retarded figures being thrown around by the media.

We already have a douche at fullback. why not change him for a more talented one?
