Inglis wont go to AFL.

The Broncos can match the Afl & with Payment increases to SOO & test matches, he will be on a higher wage then what he earns in gay/homo/afl..

Does anybody know what the SOO & test match payments are for playing & winning?

It's 13k~ for origin 7k~ for test matches.

I too would love to see GI in a Broncos jersey, but i highly doubt he'll join us.

Ofcourse they need to lose 2 of the 4, all these articles suggesting they just have to get rid of 1 is rubbish.

They are 1.5 million over the cap(or something close to that soon to be confirmed) they need to shed 2 star players to have a chance of getting back under the cap.

All those average first graders on 100-150k need to be replaced by a 55k player minimum if they can replace them all with minimum wage players.

Inglis in a Broncos jersey.... YESSSS SIRRRRRRR!!!

The Storm are still saying that they may not have to lose any of the big 4
Melbourne Storm are freaking assholes. "We want a fair and impartial process" when they have cheated the entire competition for 5 years!!!!!!!!
If they don't lose at least 2 they are cheating the cap next year as well, none of this must lose one bullshit.

10 players at 150k replaced by on average a 70k player(they won't be able to get all minimum wage players to replace them) = $800,000 saved. Still $700,000 to go, they would have at least 7-8 players in the squad at 100k or less from the top 25, those players wouldn't even be worth replacing.

They also can't take paycuts, so the 4 they have must stay on their inflated salaries which decreases their real cap value as well. IF they don't lose 2 of the big 4 or 1 of the big 4 with a few of the semi big names then I believe they will be cheating the cap next year as well.

No club can afford 4 players worth $2 million in a $4.1 million salary cap, you can't fit 21 players in 2.1 mil, that's an average salary of 100k, unless they want an entire team of 18 year olds around the 4 stars they have.
You also need to remember there is rep payments which those 4 stars get which is around 50k each for them + injuries, contract clauses which incur "upgrades", etc.

If storm don't offload 1 or 2 of their big 4 then they are in big trouble over the next few years. Yea O'Neil, Duffie, Widdop, Kelly, Bromwich, Norrie etc are a solid bunch of juniors/cheap players to rebuild off. But what happens in 2 years time where their value doubles and they need an upgrade? They will be in the exact same situation and will just have to keep offloading juniors every few years and digging into their U20s stocks again and again.

This might not sound believable to you guys but I have heard that the Broncos want one more prop for next year to make there forward pack the strongest in the league.

And the top 3 options apprently are

1. Jeff Lima(Storm) To play front row not second row.

2. Willie Mason(Cowboys) To play front row not second row.

3. Sika Manu(Storm) To play front row not second row.

Thoughts? Also this could be a load of BS and I have been tricked before but this is a mate who hasn't told me any rumors before and he lives in Brisbane and knows some insiders at about 5 clubs apprently so we will se what happens.

I'd take Lima. **** Mason, and I though Manu had agreed to terms with another team?

Lima would be my pick out of that three.

Although, i don't really think we need any more props now that we've re-signed Tronc for two more years.

Jeff Lima and Sika Manu are pretty awesome. However considering we have just resigned Tronc and we have signed Hannant up, I would say we would only be in for one of them if any. And if you choose to believe the whispers about Inglis, then I would definitely say we won't be picking up any of them. The cap space has to run out at some point.

I don't think we need another prop for next year now we have re-signed Tronc (which is great news IMO) I also think our pack will be one of the Strongest for next year anyway.

8. Tronc
9. McCullough
10. Hannant
11. Te'o
12. Thaiday
13. Parker

That is a great pack and should give our halves and backs a really good platform to work from

I don't think we need another prop (haha how funny, about a year ago we were whining for more) with our current crop, plus the juniors that we have. If we have the money free to sign one of them on a decent deal (not overs) and GI isn't an option for next year then why not? We have signed up all of our juniors and if we have some money free and we can't sign GI then i don't know what else we would spend it on.

I would be pretty happy with any of them really. Lima would be great as he is a prefered prop and is experienced too.

Even though I have never really liked Mason at front row, with Tronc, Kenny and Hannant leading the pack up front, I wouldn't mind seeing Mason come off the bench at prop and create some impact. I think he has really changed since going up North and getting a bit older.

Manu would be awesome too. I like him playing tighter at storm rather than wide so front row wouldn't be out of his depth. He isn't as experienced as the other two but we don't really need an experienced prop in our current situation. Manu(23) is 4 years younger than Lima and 7 younger than Mason so I reckon he would be a good option who will be around for a long time. He would probably be cheaper than lima too and can play in the back row. I would go with Manu. icon_smile

Why do we need to spend it? Just because we have it does not mean we have to blow it. Save the extra and with Locky/Hodges both coming to their last games we could keep these juniors for along time.

source?

that is a real shame... but he is still down the pecking order at the Broncos currently

What is the deal with Tariq Sims? I've only ever heard great things about him, but I feel like I've been hearing them for ages. How old is he and why hasn't he played first grade yet?

tariq is 20 he has been training with the first grade team all year,I have read he has been on standby to play first grade a few times this year
