There is no logic in the decision if its true, hes off contract at the end of the season, we are under the cap atm for this season, hes in our 17 each week and we have a pile of injuries. What possible advantage is there for releasing him?

and when theres injuries like now? there is no advantage to be releasing him now, he can leave at the end of the year, I would rather a player for the year than extra space in the salary cap thats useless until next season. Unless they sign another guy mid season there is no point in releasing him.

Yes there is, by releasing him we can frontload some other players contracts and as such have more room for next year and by more I mean the 60k extra (remember you need to replace him with a minimum wage player) that could be frontloaded this year and the 60k extra that will be available next year by offloading him. In total that's 120k that could be free for next years cap.

I don't rate Setu, I just find it silly that the broncos could release players when our squad is close the the worst in the comp.
