Carney has massive issues. Genuine, addiction issues. All this contract does is say "yes you can keep stuffing up and you will always get another chance handed to you on a silver platter". Where's the incentive to give up when people/clubs are going to keep enabling his problem?

I honestly can't believe any club would touch him with a 10 foot pole considering all the issues he's had. I couldn't care less about the Sharks and the effect it may have on them (as long as it's not my club...) but I don't believe this contract, or any contract for that matter, is in Carney's best interest.
