Rumours circulating that Greg Bird will be returning to Cronulla.

I don't think that'd be a good move for them but I'd be happy to see him leave the Titans. Sure, he's a talented player and on his day, one of the best forwards in the game but he's lazy at the Titans and some of the mistakes he makes in attack and especially defence interfere with any of his positive qualities.

Also keep hearing Anthony Quinn is off to Canberra. If that happens, I won't have an issue with Ryles joining Melbourne. Ryles wouldn't be asking too much these days I'd imagine.

Reports on Twitter that Daniel Mortimer has signed a 2 year deal with the Roosters. Happy for him. I think Brian Smith is a coach who will help him work out what kind of player he needs to be. I hope he does well. He's got talent and potential that's for sure.

He's a good kid, Daniel Mortimer. Level headed guy, tries hard. Definitely got lots of talent. Not sure if the Roosters is the best place to resurrect your career though. Time will tell.

Roosters party culture aside, I think Smith is a good structured coach, and with an established halfback in Mitchell Pearce alongside him, I think he'll do well.
Frankly I wouldn't have been disappointed if the Broncos had thrown him a lifeline, but am happy in the faith shown in Norman and Hunt.

Amazing that at the start of 2010, Mortimer was being mooted as NSW's saviour in Origin and had a pack of clubs chasing his signature.

The Canberra Raiders have announced a significant boost to their playing roster for season 2012, with former international Shaun Berrigan agreeing to a two year deal with the club.

THE crisis continues. Des Hasler could be sacked as early as tonight amid news that superstar five-eighth Kieran Foran is the next Sea Eagle poised to defect to Canterbury.

The Bulldogs will target Foran for 2013 - the same season current Canterbury five-eighth Kris Keating comes off contract.

Hopefully it doesn't happen, as much as I don't care for Manly, I do appreciate club loyalty and having the likes of Foran/Cherry-Evans/Buhrer and co. together would be great for their future.

Not to mention, I wish the Dogs would develop their own players instead of ruining players from other clubs.
