POST GAME POST GAME [Round 4, 2023] Broncos vs Dolphins

Loving hearing the dolphins fans say stuff like "we were never expected to win that so don't get why broncos fans are so happy, we had injuries, etc etc"

I'll tell you what, for a new club, once they got ahead in the 65th min or whatever I've never heard more annoying fans.

But to say broncos fans shouldn't be happy with that win bcos your own team isn't that good anyway? Haha... we played well below our best but injuries or no injuries thus was the game that the dolphins plays, staff and particularly bennett would have traded every single other win of the season in for. Its hard to beat a team when every staff and player is putting in 100% no question, no matter their level... we dominated the game but missed a few opportunities due to some last ditch efforts by the dolphins. Great work by them but if you have a night where you put in 1% less effort (likely 9/10 games for the rest of the year) we win by 18+. So please, walk away thinking this game shows you will beat us next time, because it doesn't...

So in conclusion, get fucked dolphins. It only means less because you lost you salty Japanese cuisine...

Ps. 75% broncos fans last night at the game. If you played it in your home town (redcliffe) it may have been different

the effort from Cobbo to not put his body on the line to catch the ball is truly unforgivable. There’s no way I’m picking him next week, that was just that bad.
Carrigan’s effort to turn and chase was awful, he’s being played too many minutes if that’s the effort being put in.

almost everyone did something stupid. Herbie with a couple, Billy with multiple disgraceful efforts, and Reynolds with a complete shocker most of the night.

Mate, I hear you. And yes, the boys need to understand that they must compete for the full 80. But like you said, if we start dropping blokes for the lesser efforts or straight up fck ups, we won’t have anyone take the field next week. The message should be - you fucked up, this is what you do to fix it. Go out against the Tigers, show us that you belong in a Broncos jersey.

I also want to give credit to the ref. He put the whistle away and the game was SO much better for it.
I concur. I shit on the refs relentlessly, only fair they are commended when they do a good job.

Waking up this morning to a 4 - 0 top of the table team is awesome, but the thing i am happiest about last nights game is Staggs.

He has been copping shit around here for a while, and while its admittedly deserved to some extent, we all know he has some awesome attack in his game, and i feel like he has been coached to improve his defense over the past season and has focused far more on that element of his game than anything else, and what we are slowly starting to see is his complete game coming together.

Bloke is a gun, and a vicious defender and a threat in attack, bloody happy he is a Bronco.

He looked for all money like he was going to easily be bundled into touch, and somehow had the strength and balance to throw off those two players and still put himself in a position to score. If it hadn't been for a freak play from the Redcliffe player, he does and we're talking about how miraculous of a try he scored.

And we're getting, 'He dropped it.'...

Some people will always be bitter, unfortunately.
Wouldn’t have scored it anyway lol his right hand lands on the touch line while his body is in the air.

FMD some of you donkeys are hard to please.
Whinging on the back of a win, and only focusing on the negatives.

Like i said last night, not every game will be textbook and go smoothly, and the gritty wins, even with some errors and pressure, are just as good, (if not better) than the flawless victories where everything go's to plan!

Enjoy it!
When was the last time we went 4 - 0 and top of the table to start a season!

I was seething lol. Just the way he took a quick look at who was coming at him and let it bounce anyway, mind you it was probably too late for him to jump or do anything else at that point. Not long after that Walsh took a Milf torp over his shoulder, spun around and promptly lost it bringing it back. I had to hop up and do some vacuuming at that point to release the energy, really felt like we were gonna throw it away.

Forward rotation was trash. Flegler needs to start off the bench. He was off for 45 mins straight. Made no sense.
Carrigan was gassed. He really needs to put those shit passes away. If you’re gonna play lock and wanna pass to other forwards, you’re gonna have to attract a defender at least. He just throws it off at times to anyone. Hetherington is definitely the better ball playing lock. Gonna be lethal having Hetherington come off the bench over Palasia. Strong runs with quick play the balls. Really hope Mozer develops within a few weeks
