PRE-GAME PRE-GAME [Round 5, 2023] Broncos vs Wests Tigers

A question for locals and regular match goers. What would be the best way to get too and from the game on Saturday night. Staying on George street near the Victoria bridge. Have a 4 year old with us so not sure of best option.

If you're not up to walking there, shuttle buses leave from behind city call on Ann St, wouldn't be far from where you're staying.

Hey Guys, my first post on this forum. Listen im a tigers fan, i actually enjoy reading your forum, I do read the tigers forum too. You guys should smack us this week, if we can drop brooks then id be a bit happier. Our attack has been woeful but defence has kinda stepped up from last year. I do hope its a close game, but i dont see us winning. Good luck
Welcome to the forum jonnytiga, nice first up post, when i think of the tigers I only see Back Door Benny, but you have put a much nicer face on them, jonnytiga, soon to be jonnybronco, what do you reckon

I don't care if we win by 4 or 40, I just want to see a relatively error free game from us. We've been playing pretty loose recently and better/less depleted sides would have made us pay for it.

I think this is one of those games were its worth a cheeky bet on the Tigers,.

Emotional Insurance.

When any team is those odds, it's worth a small wager, it's a pretty even comp.

Theres an article about Flegler training in the backrow.
And he feels versatile to switch positions.
Yea I just saw that (but couldn't read the whole article)! Pretty big change and I wonder who he's swapping with. Unless it's forced, I'm not sure changing the team up while we are winning is smart (like we did last year).

Riki so far this season has been exceptional. If he’s not ok, no point pushing him. It’s a long season so, getting it right by the coaching staff is vital & they too have been spot on this year so, no dramas there either.

But, the thing that intrigues me is, who thought Tom would be a better fit on the edge? Is it due to Tom’s footwork they’re considering the move? He’s not an 80min player to play in the edge. Let Tom and lay where he has been.
If we need a specialist back rower, we’ve Piakura and he should get the first chance.

Don’t innovate way too much and play into those Tigers hands for the straight 5th year Kev.

The whole Riki angle is hopefully a cover for the fact that they are going to bring Flegler on at some stage to run off Reynolds hip straight at a tired Brooks, who defends on Riki’s side.

Give Flegler the first stint and give him a break 25-30 minutes in. Bring him back on at the 60 minute mark and line Brooks up for the final 20 minutes..

They've set the line at 15.5

If we're on, we're a 3 try better team. If you think we'll scrape home take the tigers to cover.
