Just because we won doesn't mean it should paper over the cracks of another poor performance from Scott Prince. He has been poor so far this season apart from a handful of good passes. We aren't in a position to be resting on our laurels. We need to keep getting better and maybe to do that Prince needs to go. He will get a few more weeks at the very least but I am keen to see Ben Hunt be given a chance.

Despite our differences here in general I agree with you Mr Fourex, problem is the calls for Prince to be dropped haven't just come from after a great win, you can't simply ignore issues because your winning, we did that with our defence early last season and once our points dried up we couldn't win a game.

Yeah he sustained a headknock at one stage when we were defending on our line in the second half i think. He was in la la land and his legs were doing the funky chicken dance.

If Prince doesn't miss that tackle, does he come of come off? Course not! He was taken off for performance reasons, hence hooked.
I've been criticising Prince win, lose or draw so this perception of me is clearly wrong. Better luck next time.
And that's it really, this thread isn't based on one rash decision, Prince has clearly been our worst player over the season and doesn't deserve the time to be persisted with. Is he going to win us a premiership? Nope. Is there any potential for him to do so? At 33 and carrying that fragile body, nope. So where's the incentive? Because it's a winning combination? No, the winning combination is Wallace to Norman to Reed to Hoffman - try! Prince's efforts to generally miss-time, lose our momentum, give the opposition an easy target and knock on at crucial stages is a hinderance and is making the job much harder than it needs to be.

As much as I'm not happy with Prince's form, so long as we're winning there should be no changes. Wins deserve to be rewarded, not punished. Even though Prince was mostly shit for the game he did put on a try with a beautiful pass and there was only 2 points difference by the 80 minute mark.
I'm happy to just keep the side as it.
Except for Anderson, maybe I don't like him because he's an ex-Stormer but either way I don't think he offers anything worthwhile.
I hope McGuire is back next game to replace Slyney and hopefully we have someone good enough to displace Anderson.

I know what Pete's saying. Prince has been average at best, and defensively poor.
But changing the team will be counter productive. Options would be Norman to 6, Hoffman to 1. That in turn would make wing, fullback worse, and 5/8 no better.
Other option is hunt to 6. While that'd be great for hunt, he's found good form coming off the bench to hooker... In fact, he's shaded McCullough the last 3 weeks. So you'd weaken dummy half, and maybe slightly improve 5/8.
Small gain for big change. I'd persevere with prince.

Fair point there Coxy though it brings me back to how we continue to utilise Hunt, to try to makeup for McCollough's shortcomings? Sounds like a patchup job to me, one that may come back to haunt us. I'll take a step backwards and say I'm prepared to give Prince more time, but we got to start seeing some consistency soon.

If there is one position the Broncos can cover it's the bench utility. The Broncos have two of the best hookers not in first grade right now in Baptiste and Granville. I believe both would be viable options.
