Didn't look too bad from what I saw of the game yesterday afternoon

Recovered slightly to 2/58 at lunch.

These 2 really need to bat through to Tea IMO, and ideally get the score past 200. If QLD can be 240 for the loss of 2 or 3 wickets at stumps they're in good shape.

Agree with Beads, need at least a 150-200-run lead on the first innings.

Bulls were 6/199 last time I checked. Broad made a fighting 80 odd and Lynn made 40. Simopson needs to make a ton and Cutting needs to support him if the Bulls are any chance. Victards have too much batting to lose this barring a miracle IMO.

Vic already 0/45 in their second dig.

Unless Queensland can rout them for ~100, they've got no chance. I wouldn't feel confident with Queensland chasing any more than 150 in the 4th dig.

Good to see Cameron Boyce getting a bowl and taking wickets... Simpson needs to get dropped form the first class side IMO.

Very dissappointed at the way this has panned out given we had them at our mercy on Day 1.Our top order is like a house of cards. Losing Hopes is a massive blow and the Vics will be deserving champions.

Bull are most likely gone unless they can chase down 500 odd. It is a shame but I think Simpsons postion in the team needs to be looked at hard..

I disagree. At the start of the year the Bulls weren't tipped to even make the final on the back of their young and inexperienced squad. Simpson has done very well as captain to get them this far and it's not his fault our top order can't get the runs they need week-in-week-out.

Simpson's essentially a specialist captain. Commentators always go on about his talent but he's played about 50 games now and hasn't shown anything.

He has to start performing because it would be a shame to drop him considering how well he's done with a young squad.

All of the top 6 for the bulls have made runs at some stage while Simpson struggles to get over 20. Swan, Feldman and Cutting average more than him with the bat.

Not saying he doesn't need to improve with the bat but like ethos said, considering how well he has done with the squad it would be a real shame to see him dropped.

They won't drop him, but they need to really fix up his batting he needs to average at least 30 to be in the side IMO. He has the talent just never seems to make runs.
