POST GAME [Round 1, 2024] Broncos vs Roosters

I think he will get away with it but he clearly said it. At no point has he denied it in fact by saying what is said on the field stays there and that it is just banter he has basically admitted it, a good lawyer though will defend that by saying my client’s a halfwit and on balance of evidence it’s hard to argue.

I think he hasn’t denied because he thought the mics did probably pick it up so wanted fence sit and if so claim he didn’t mean it in a derogatory way. I think now that they have said there is no audio he will deny saying it.

Why would the hotel altercation be any different to the on field allegations? It will just be our word against theirs.

I dont think Leniu will be able to say that he didnt say anything... clearly something was said and multiple Broncos players could be heard on the mic saying "He called him a monkey"

Ref then asked if he wants to make a complaint when Ezra says yes.

Leniu will have to come up with some story about what he said, because he cant say he didnt say anything and all his actions after the event indicate that he said something.

So from that sense it will be about multiple Broncos players saying the same story, the ref not being able to provide any input other than players confronting Leniu and an altercation breaking out... and then whatever story Leniu comes up with and whether a rorters team mate wants to jump in and confirm what Leniu has said

Nicho Hynes has also gave a shout out to Mam in a interview.

Would be interesting how Latrell would react to Spencer if he is playing in the Roosters V Souths game. Would love to see him take his head off.

They have audio of Broncos players saying "he called him a monkey"... that's not Ezra that's other people having the same story.

There's enough corroborating evidence that something was said and it's been picked up on the live mic, so it's not like they can say the players conspired to call Leniu a racist... they all reacted immediately and with the same story.

I cant recall the Montoya incident completely, but was there a mic for that??

I recall one being offball and the player still getting a suspension

I'm not sure with Montoya, but in regards to Mam its all going to depend on if they choose to believe our boys or not. If the Rorters players say he didnt say it we are back to square one. I dont disagree with what you are saying, he clearly said it imo and plenty of our boys heard it. I'm just of the opinion if he is to get a big ban, they need the footage or audio of him saying it.
 
Roosters v Souths next weekend. Expect fireworks with Walker and Latrell jumping to Ezra's defence immediately (admirably so, I don't like either of them but they stand up for what they believe).

I still can't believe the Roosters have not publicly come out decrying racism, though, that's just astounding.

All I'm saying is that it's not entirely hearsay, there's audio immediately after the event with multiple players indicating the same thing... and they haven't changed their story from the audio.

Leniu can't just say I didn't say anything... and rorters players can't just say they heard something, but couldn't make out what he said... they'll have to come up with some story about what he did say and the rorters players will have to be a witness and indicate the same exact story of what he said.

Otherwise it's multiple witnesses with the same story and backed up by audio that they haven't changed their story vs inconsistent stories from the other side.

I think he will get a slap on the wrist tbh. My biggest issue is i dont trust the process.

Now Leniu's agent wants the RPLA and NRL to tell players to stop supporting Mam publicly and commenting on whats happened. No comment on how Mam might be having to deal with this, and nothing about Leniu's brother publically commenting with his crass post. Maybe look a bit closer to home first.

He is also saying he is being supported by Ivan Cleary, no mention of Robinson or the rorters which is a little odd.
