No chance.

Its gotten too much publicity already.
Every news site its front and center in sports.

Not the good games of footy, just the racism headline.

Is Broncos players saying it was said going to be enough though?

If no mic or ref caught it, I can see it not being suspended.

I think he said it purely based off of his reaction in interview with Read.

Minimum 5 week ban imo, it's clearly worse than what Montoya said in context.
As the resident gay I couldn't agree more. Montoya dropping the F slur on a straight bloke isn't really in the same stratosphere, IMO. Ghastly, nonetheless, but a different stratosphere.

Poor Ezra will be going through some past experiences where he's felt or been treated the same and it's going to be fucking shit for him.

The NRL gotta come down so hard on Leinu. 6-8weeks plus, for me.

Robbo is such a POS. Can't believe he went for the 'Ezra might not be right' approach. Disgraceful, but you can't expect much for a club with Squid James as captain.

I can remember Jonjo Shelvey racially abusing Romain Saiss when he was still at Wolves and he got a 5 game ban based on the evidence of other players. They used an independent commission to do the investigation, which i something i doubt the NRL will use.

I think the Roosters wanted it more.

We can look at ourselves for sure and pick out errors, tactical positional and kicking flaws, but when the other team just had a greater desire on almost every level, we shouldn’t be surprised.

Disappointed doesn’t even begin to express how I feel about today. Months of waiting to get the GF game out of our system and we get that performance.

A couple of things that pissed me off:

The collar. That’s got to go. WTF were they thinking with that?

Walsh. That flying pose for the cameras on the try. I can see him injuring himself doing that nonsense.

No excuses from here.

Yeah I thought the whole reason the collar got removed all those years ago was to minimise the chances of the collar drag. But here we are re-introducing that risk just because someone wanted the aesthetics.

Lots of over-reacting, as expected. It's round 1, and in another country. We attacked like shit, but defended well for a lot of the game. Onto round 2.
