I called for Hoffman to be 5/8 for this year, at the end of last year. I wouldn't be surprised if that was most of what was spoken about in their little pow pow with Broncos management.

Barba HAS to be fullback .... and Maranta shouldn't be there at all.

Gillett would provide more impact off the bench IMO .... he seems to drop off a bit during the course of a game so bring him on for shorter bursts.

Vidot has to be there also .... buggered if i know what's going on with him at the moment though ??

tfw we buy Lowrie and don't even use him, if Hala is the same as last year I'd rather Lowrie on the bench than him, in fact I'd rather Lowrie over Granville as well, McCullough has been our best player in the trials / nines, we can't afford to sub him off at any stage of the game.

Our options are ordinary so I'll just be happy if Hook picks Strasser or Nikorima in the halves. At least the are players who play in the halves. If they fail then fine but give them a crack. Barba at fullback with Hoffman on one wing and Vidot or Drew on the other.

theres no way vidot is the only player rested from the warriors trial because he has a spot sewn up.

im not sure what it is but they obviously aren't happy with his form or something. maybe he doesn't put in enough effort at training in griffins eyes. maybe he just isnt part of griffins favourite playing group.

its like when we signed lama tasi last year and gave him stints on the field of 5 to 9 minutes. it just didnt make sense to me.

maybe we don't let players get away with being slack as much as most other clubs, and to be fair both those guys are discards from their previous clubs. but to suggest our standards are that high would also suggest we wouldnt defend like u12's and get 50 pts put on us in a trial.

Even with half the effort, Vidot is still a far better option at wing than Maranta. Surely Griffin can see that and bite the bullet. Maranta is a failed experiment, nothing more.

If his contract gets torn up, and I hope it does, I think that's his career over. I can't think of anyone else that would want Maranta, he is that bad.

To be honest B4L he kind of loves himself a bit. I have him on instagram and he's always posting videos of himself in the car lip singing human nature, etc. I see a lot of the broncos boys commenting shit like "mate, get this down now" etc etc and vidot just laughs. He's very humble in real life though (from what ive seen) so I don't know why he does shit like that on social media
