I think this new rule is making teams less reluctant to go for a field goal. If they miss, the other team gets 7 tackles. I think Manly would have gone for the field goal to begin with, they certainly were in a good position.

I can't believe Cherry-Evans screwed up that pass. It completely fucked up my tipping. Who would have guessed that Storm could beat Manly without Cronk and with Ben Roberts in the halves.

I only caught the last 15 minutes and must admit the game was a little sloppy so I'll have to catch it on replay, but to comeback from 20 points down against a team like Manly minus your champion halfback is nothing short of extraordinary.

Couldn't believe Manly blew that golden opportunity in extra-time. They had Melbourne dead to rights and DCE throws one of the worst passes of his young career. You wouldn't dream of it, but DCE got caught going through the motions instead of what was in-front of him. Those championship instincts betrayed him tonight.
