Who would have guessed that Storm could beat Manly without Cronk and with Ben Roberts in the halves.

I thought it was 50/50. Cronk is a big loss, but Cameron Smith is still god. Meanwhile Manly has an absolutely horrendous forward pack.

If SBW gets suspended for 3 weeks for that and it wasn't even brutal in any way in the first place the players may as well get dressed in skirts and ballet shoes. Some of the new laws in the game (no shoulder charge or biff) just diminish the spectacle, the fans want to see a hard hitting game at it's best not a game of touch or soccer.

He gets the 3 weeks because he has previous form & has carry over points.

He's one of those opposition players I just love. A champion bloke and such an amazing player.

Just seeing him pick up the kicking tee each time and handing it to the ball boy and giving his head gear away to a kid at the end of each match, nothing but respect for the great man.

I think the Cowboys will be very happy to go in only a converted try down, the Raiders were absolutely dominating but the Cowboys show what they can do with the ball in their hands.

Based on what I've seen from this game, we're gonna have to play well for 80 minutes against the Cowboys next week, slack off for 5 minutes and Thurston will tear you to bits.

The Cowboys at home are my favourite team in the NRL to watch and Thurston is a big reason for that ... there's something about his play that reminds me of yesteryear when players were permitted to use their instincts ... Its just raw uncomplicated talent

People overestimate the Cowboys. They have shown year after year that they're more than capable of just randomly switching off and delivering poor performances.

I think people over-estimate their lineup .. Look beyond Thurston, Tate and their front row and they've got a shit tonne of weaknesses imo ...

but as long as their games entertain me on a saturday night I couldn't really give a **** what they do ...
