Some stats:
Macca 51 tackles - 2 missed.
Gillett 174 metres and 37 tackles (5 missed).
McGuire 161 metres and 35 tackles (0 misses).
Oates 156 all run metres.
Moga 134 metres, ten tackles no misses.
How the **** did Gilly get those numbers, what an animal. Maybe I need to watch the game more!!

Hope you bought a lotto ticket too

I dont know where some of these 8's and 9's for our players come from. We were good, but we weren't great. Gillett and KAhu were our standouts, but i still wouldnt have given either more than a 7 out of 10.

Moga i thought got better as the game went on, but i still think he was no more than solid, which isnt a bad thing considering his injury history. I'll be more than happy if we can get that level of performance out of him for 5-6 games so he can get a foothold in the team.

Hunt wasnt as bad as some are saying imo, but for me his problem is the things he has been weak at in the last 3 years or so he is still weak at, and its a problem. He has to improve.

Front row of sims and blair was awesome. Thaiday is clearly playing out of his skin and TPJ added some spark and muscle when he came on.
Darbs was bloody good tonight and it was so refreshing to see the captain of the club show enthusiasm and confidence in his playing group to go for some points instead of kicking for goal at every turn.
And hasn't Kahu been practicing...im hoping that the days of the broncos fans cringing at the sight of kicking are behind us (no offence Parker you champ).
Moga was very impressive tonight....strong, athletic, i wouldnt say he was Justin Hodges like the commentators tried to imply but he is definitely on his way in being a powerhouse centre if he remains injury free, consistent and strong.
IMO everyone played fairly well tonight considering the circumstances. I hope they continue to improve.
Fkn happy we got the win!

Thaiday earned that starting spot tonight.

McGuire.. Not really sold on him yet.

Sims I thought was very good tonight. When the Broncos were going sideways, he straightened it up and ran hard up the middle, one of those times making at least 30 metres. He was very good.

Blair ran the ball hard, came up with a couple of good offloads.

Ese'ese, a bit underwhelming I thought. Came up with some bad defensive efforts, but then again most of the side did.

Our halves still look like they don't know what to do. It will take some time to adjust to the new attack, so for the next 3 weeks they better be prepared to grind out a game.

Roberts was better tonight. He was more committed than what he was in the WCC.

Our left side is still considerably weak. Sharks made too much easy ground down that side.

I thought all the youngsters played exactly how the coach wanted them to. They ran hard tackled hard and didn't let the team down. Moga and sims did the same, i don't think they made any mistakes

Hunt will have to play a lot better if we are going be better than a mid table team this season - I know, stating the obvious.

What was everyone's thoughts on Arrow? Will we go down to 3 forwards next week or could Joe come in? I think we will most likely rotate some of our guys throughout different stages...ie Sua as well.

Anyone have any stats from the game? NRLstats aren't doing them live this season for whatever reason. Would be interesting to know the metres gained out of a few of our guys. It felt like McGuire, Sims, Pangai & Thaiday all ran for over 100m, but I might be wrong.

Check them out for your stat's this year mate, we're using these for SVRL.

Does anyone know what happened to Fox Sports supposed 10m virtual line?

Impressive win down a player early against a more fancied pack.

Only real disappointment was Hunt, Milford just as bad before his try.

Hunt's body language just screams lack of confidence still. Just want him to play like 2015.

Seriously had a bad game ! It wasn't just his kicking or game management.

Not a bad performance for the first round of the competition. Plenty improvement needed going forward.
