POST GAME Round 10 - Sea Eagles vs Broncos

Wallace isn't mediocre and it seems apparent that our coach doesn't agree with you either.

Your last sentence is just hyperbolic rubbish.

Your first sentence is just hyperbolic rubbish.

You don't know what Wayne thinks of his players, there's a very real scenario in which he doesn't rate Wallace or Reed, but because of their contracts and lack of other experienced options, they're playing. (Anyone remember Wayne's comments when he signed with us? He said it'd take him a couple do years to get a roster that he's happy with) If Wayne opts to re-sign either of those players, I'll happily admit I was wrong, but I'm extremely confident that he won't.

To be honest, Wallace is better than Ofahengaue too atm. He's improved a lot over the last year. I wasn't a fan for a long time, but he's definitely a good bench forward.

He's solid, but we can do better imo. He's got the rest of this season to change my opinion of him, he can start by not making 1-2 boneheaded errors/penalties every game.

The only reason I'm harsh on him is that I don't settle for mediocrity, neither should our club. The sooner Wanye goes with Herman over him for the bench role, the better off we'll be. Ese'ese has improved more in 3 games than Wallace has in 3 seasons.

'Sorry, sorry, stop the Grammys. I know Taylor Swift-Wallace currently has the bench forward spot and he is good and all, but Beyoncé Ese'ese is better. I just think it's a disgrace he has won the best bench prop award when Beyoncé Ese'ese's runs are just clearly some of the best of all time. I'm sorry to interrupt the program but it just had to be said. Peace out!'

Agree 100%. Wallace is playing great. I think he has come on in leaps and bounds. For mine, he always fights to make that extra metre which is a sign of a quality prop ... playing at his peak :takdir:

And while I am at it, peak performance is nothing more than going out and giving it your all. There is no other way in an elite sport. Also, to my mind, to give your all presupposes 2 things:

1. You have been conditioned to be as fit as you can be at any given point in time;

2. It's all about commitment, attitude and motivation, especially playing to win, and playing for your team mates.

Peak performance is Milford going out there and doing what he does. It's Wallace doing the best he can. It's Boyd, it's the rest of the team .... it's called not slacking off.

It's called: I want to win this game for myself, for my team mates, my coach, for my fans ... and I will never settle for 2nd best

Sproj had the greatest post of all time. Of all time!

I disagree with that. Ofa has come in leaps and bounds this season, and is at the moment, the best bench prop we have. I am convinced he will overtake Wallace, although I don't think the latter deserves the criticism he has endured either.

Wallace was very good on Saturday, close to the best prop on the field despite his usual boneheaded error and penalty.

It's a bird, it's a plane...no it's Ofaman!

You must be extremely mad that multiple sources (including smokin joe as one) have said that Bennett is a huge fan of Jarrod Wallace. And Jack Reed, well it doesn't take an Einstein to figure out Bennett loves him. He has always loved defensive centres and rushes him back into the side immediately after injury.

Yeah you're wrong, I look forward to you admitting you're wrong.

It ****es me off to be honest. I can see why when the game is boring and nothing's happening. But when the game is good quality and worth watching, why start that crap?

I'm with this....I hate the wave, to me its an insult to the players out in the middle because it feels like the crowd is getting bored with whats going on. No coincidence manly scored, the wave stopped and Brisbane got back to the footy and dominated again. Ban it I say

Yeah you're wrong, I look forward to you admitting you're wrong.

Technically it's not possible for me to be currently wrong, as neither of the aforementioned players have been signed under the Wayne Bennett regime. There's a very good reason Wayne signed Blair & Gavet when he got here instead of putting all his faith in the almighty Wallace.

Clearly I was meaning in the future when Wallace re-signs.

Blair & Gavet weren't signed to replace Wallace, they were signed to replace guys like Kennedy and Hannent.

I think Wallace has really stood up this season. He epitomises a Bennett style player ala Weyman, Webcke etc.
Not the most talented, but works his arse off every game, every training session - is physical and still young. His improvement in 12 months is purely down to hard work and no fuss.

Have said it before, he is very well regarded at the Broncs for all the above reasons. He is constantly improving, and starting to really show his potential. Remember he is still very young for a prop!

I get the Reed hate, but Wallace?
It's not like he's Ashton Sims or Dane Carlaw taking up space in the starting line up week after week after week. He comes off the bench for a few minutes every game.

I really like the look of him, he has plenty of improvement and is massive. Give him another 12 months and if he still drops the pill every game then we can talk about him being bollocks.
