Wasn’t he terrible in the super league?
Yes.

He inherited a quality Dragons side that finished the year prior and signed Greg Bird who was one of the best players in the world around that time and they just snuck into 8th. They ended up making the prelims but were smashed and then they won the wooden spoon the next year.

Robbo took over and was able to steer them back into the finals.

I know there's a few fans on here who want to try and spin his stint as a positive but it was a massive let down at the time especially since Kevie was one of the better coaching prospects coming through.

The constant changing of the halves on the one hand makes it very difficult for any trust to be developed in these key positions between the players. So defence suffers. On the attack side neither half now wants to make a mistake so no enterprise is shown for fear of being dropped. I am pretty sure WB would give them longer to gel. But it’s hard to gel when most of the time you are defending as we average about 20% less time with the ball per game. So how about we hang onto the ball when we have it and play to our strengths which are our forwards then kick to the corners and cause a mistake in our opponents. Then take our time and get repeat sets and tire our opponents. If we keep failing to do this Kevvie will have no other option but to play Billy at number 6. Our conspiracy theorists could argue then that it was always going to end this way.
No, no, no, no. We aren't allowed to take our time. We mustn't slow the game down. Anyone who suggests we don't play at hyperspeed on every single occasion is plainly insane. It's much much better to finally get the ball back after 12 to 15 minutes of tackling and watching the score board tick over in 4's and 2's and then quick as humanly possible rush through 5 one out hitups and a super rushed 5th tackle option.

That's how we must do it. No other thought or technique should be considered. We must quickly get the ball back to the opposition and help them get to 50+.

Taking our time with the ball, lazy slow playing the ball and unhurriedly playing our fifth tackle can only lead to the opposition having much less time and much less opportunity to rack up fifty plus points and we certainly don't want to stop them doing that. At the Broncos we know that helping Vlandwhale achieve hyper velocity games is important, we need to do everything we can to shorten the amount of time we have the ball and give the opposition as much time as we can.

Kicking to corners, taking our time especially on our fifth tackle just won't help the opposition. Stupid idea. Sorry, no.

Do you have anything positive to say (ever) or is BHQ your personal soapbox?

Solutions for once, not more problems.
The issue is he keeps throwing blame on a couple outside backs and the halves. Our issue is a lot wider than that. Halves can let you lose the tight games, but they don't cause you losing by 50. Isaako has had some very high quality touches in attack but he is abysmal in organising our defence at fullback and it is extremely easy to identify that. Our numbers are almost always wrong. Either he isn't deliviering the message for better numbers, or the players in the middle aren't listening to him. So, either put someone else at fullback to fix our abysmal defensive structure, or get rid of our lazy, deaf middle who aren't listening.

In a lot of our tries against us we have 9 players on our short side and only 3 or 4 on the open side. It's fucked. That's not Milfords fault, that's coaching and/or the fullback.

Turpin has provided nothing at all, Levi was a terible buy. Paix showed some positive glimpses last year and hasn't had a single shot this year. Hell, even try Croft at 9 or Hetherington like everyone has been asking for. It took 9 rounds for Gamble to get a shot and he has been the most promising 7 we have had there in 2 years. LIke what the **** do they do at training?

Not a huge fan of the English Super League but this what they wrote about him on wiki:

"Walters was appointed as the new coach of Catalans Dragons from the 2009 season.[14] He had been linked with the role of head coach at the French Super League team for some time.[15] His first season at Catalans did not start well, with only one win from the club's first 6 matches. However, by the end of his second season with the club, he'd taken them to within one match of the 2009 Super League Grand Final, losing to eventual Champions, Leeds Rhinos."

Try coaching a team of blokes that speak French. I give him a pass for his super league career. Still worrying signs though.
Or worse, Catalan, the mother tongue of Tió de Nadal, the log who shits Christmas presents. I shit you not.

Much better!

Much better!
The people who actually pay attention on the Forum know i have been saying relatively constructive things, but after 2 years of the same crap i am getting tired of it.

I've been a platinum season ticket holder for almost 2 decades with 4 seats. I give these grubs thousands of dollars each year for these tickets, and i want them to actually show some fucking respect for the fans, the people that pay their wages.

ill go out on a limb here and say we start conceding multiple tries after 15 minutes; dont have the actual stats in front of me but seems thats when we begin to fall to bits; after 15 minutes of each half...

When do we start rotating Lodge and Haas..?.....is it the same time?

Lately Lodge and has have been playing massive first stints - well beyond 15.

Much better!
I thought the same thing. I decided to go back through Puds posts and sadly there's a common theme. I don't mind unhappy posts but anyone can say what's wrong with the universe, the tricky bit is to see the good as well as the bad and to offer up solutions no matter how wacky they appear to some.

Respect. I must admit, that's pretty solid of you.

We rotate Lodge out after 20 but Kennedy has been excellent in attack and defence. He's a try scoring machine these days.

We have too many new players that haven't had time to develop synergies between them. Broncos stands no chance to win but hopefully it's a foundation we can build upon for the rest of the season. Keen to see how Albert Kelly, Hethrington, Piakura (if he gets picked) goes

Herbies out with a dodgy hammy. Copley in
Was looking forward to Herbie coming up against Manu on the edge, but now they will probably pile it on that side.
