He would have to be one of our youngest starting forwards on debut one would think. Lets hope mentally hes ready.

He will be. Hes a natural superstar.

A long kick on the 4th is really the only "kick to Roberts" tactic that Bennett would allow. A chip or short cross-field kick from anywhere except the opposition 30 is always a low-percentage play, regardless of the speed of your, um, speedster.

Must be my many long years of soccer background where the "through" ball to your strike runners, set up properly of course, was the way to go.

Frankly, I still don't see why it is a "low percentage" play. For mine, if it's a rehearsed set play, and executed at the right time, it seems to me like a good play, at least as good as a long cut out pass where there might be the chance, as there often is, of an intercept, of the pass missing its mark, being dropped or going into touch.

I can recall a few important games where a desperation pass was intercepted and game lost whereas a kick through instead would not have carried that risk.

Anyway, all I am saying is I like options, and I like to maximise the assets we have, and Roberts' and Milford's speed are certainly very real assets.

Roberts vs Addo-Carr should be a good duel. Maranta wont keep up with him so Jimmy will have to help...

Im happy that Blair got the C next to his name for this one. He is a tireless worker this season and will be perfect for our young forwards this week.

I think Macca will spend a bit of time in the game at lock with Niko on the field for leadership

Su'A, remember that name.

I've had the opportunity to watch a lot of Broncos talent come through the ranks. Jharal Yow Yeh, Josh McGuire, Ben Hunt, Jordan Kahu, Corey Oates, Ash Taylor etc. and Jaydn is every bit as good as them. Players like Jaydn have a knack for rising to the occasion, it's in their psyche, they know they have the skill-set and they back themselves.

He's a special talent, great fend, great foot-work, great offload, can hit - once he grows into his body and drops some of his rah rah habits the sky is the limit. As good as he's been in 20s, he's exceeded my expectations. Before this year, I didn't think we would see Jaydn until 2017. But then I caught his performance in Bundaberg and he looked at home next to Milford, Hunt, Gillett and all the stars. I was confident from that point on he would play grade sometime this year. Bennett must have had similar opinions, which is why Timu and Greinke were let go with little resistance.

He's the type of talent that is going to attract a lot of attention from Sydney and Rugby for the rest of his career. Beating them off with a stick is going to be the Broncos biggest challenge.
Totally agree BP. He caught your eye right from his first game

I'll be heading out to this game. if anyone wants to catch up for a beer

The 02 side shades it because of the immortal in the no 5 jumper who was on debut

One only needs to look at the upward progression of the Cowboys to understand just how much of an influence that immortal can have on a side. He single-handedly dlivered them their first premiership by inhabiting Thurston's body.

A bald headed Corey Parker, the mustached Shane Walker, a dude named Steve Irwin and SCOTT MINTO!

What a side.

The Broncos replacement coach wasn't half-bad either.

THat jump is so memorable, one of the most memorable parts of season 03 for me (along with the Tallis strip against Souffs), but it's kinda fucking stupid too.

Parker with a gun offload even back then too.
