[Round 16, 2021] Broncos vs Sharks

There was a moment later in he second half where we were really struggling to come off our line and someone threw an offload to Staggs, who cut back through defenders to make a great run up to the half way line. Anyone remember who threw the offload? It was a massive play as the Sharks had all the momentum at that stage. I think it was Palasai.
I'm pretty sure it was Riki.

Great win and something to build off for the rest of the year. But geez we need to get fitter. The reason we have no line speed is we have no fitness.
This... we looked spent for long periods of this game.

Wondering if the bye week will be spent flogging this team to try and improve some fitness

Funny you mention Palasia, he had a good game and a bit surprisingly he had more minutes than a couple of starters. He ran for 168 metres with 76 pcm. Pretty good on top of 28 tackles with two misses.

Yeah he was good. Your boy Kennedy was very good too. He's got a bit about him, Rhys.

Great game and so good to finally put a win together. Thought Kennedy had a belter of a game without the stupid penalties or dropped balls that we used to see every week from Lodge.

Even Glenn punched out 128 metres. What we want to see, run metres were high across the park.

It was a bloody good game today.

Found myself cheering on the boys more than usual, I was willing Niu home like he was running down the straight at Melbourne Cup for his try.

I found the game very enjoyable today, swung both ways, there weren’t many 6 again calls which I think made the game a bit slower but more competitive.

Kev deserved that win after all the shit he had been through, let’s hope with Lodge gone it has removed some of the negativity in the playing group and they build on it next week.

Oates had his customary error, but even with less ball than the Sharks for the first 50-60 minutes, we still had pretty good field position and I credit so much of that to Oates' runs on the 1st or 2nd. He gets a massive run-up, makes a heap of post-contact metres and almost always gets a quick play the ball. It's not enough to warrant his big contract of course, but he may be worth holding on to with a more modest contract. It also sounded like even though he was frustrated with playing reserve grade, he still worked hard and did everything asked of him. Now that he has been recalled, I wonder if his attacking confidence returns and we start to see his try-scoring ability again.

Realy? You clearly watched a different game. He had one of his best games in years. Sure, he's past his best but he had a really solid game today. I don't know how you can watch a game and see so little.
He missed 6 tackles

It’ll be really hard to state the areas in which we need to improve on in the market after that performance
