POST GAME [Round 17, 2023] Broncos vs Titans

Missed knock ons. Laid all over us and got away with it. Took out kick chasers multiple times. That Fafita act was a disgrace, he wouldn't have been within 20m of them. That result was in the refs head before kick off. Absolute cheating ****
Mate, focus less on the opposition and more on how absolutely putrid we played. 77% completion rate and fucking boneheaded first tackle plays.

Walsh needs his head pulled in after that game. His arrogance was showing and was almost hayne like.

Really disappointed in this team. Reynold's really didn't show much leadership today.

Are you dead set fucking kidding? Lay off the turps.

he tried too hard and pushed way to many situations that on the risk v reward scale dont add up to winning rugby league. There's a time and place for all things, but today he wanted to be a super hero off everything. He will have to learn that being a super hero requires picking and choosing the time - not trying every time.
Walsh "trying too hard" and Darius Boyd "trying too hard" sure look different.

I suspect he was mentally fatigued, but also the Titans defence and bounce of the ball bettered him a few times. When he ran it on the first, and kicked, that would've been a match-winning try had Brimson not pulled off a match-winning spectacular save.

He just needs to calm down and get in the grind to pick his opportunities based on the flow of the opposition. Right now hes trying to make something big of every play. Football can be chess sometimes.
It’s the problem with our whole team. We had plenty of time to win that game but wanted to score off every set. Reynolds doesn’t reign it in enough and gets sucked into doing the same. The last short kick off should have went long to give us the best chance of a kick return from a long kick. We had plenty of time

We needed to sack Kevvie and bring in a new coach to remind us that we are playing the Titans at Lang Park on a Sunday arvo. It worked a treat for the Titans the other way.
There’s a dedicated thread where this post would be quite welcomed

As good as he is, i think we need to rest Walshy after Origin purely based on the emotion of everything. I dont think he's ready mentally to back up from Origin.

Terribly disjointed performance. Carrigan the standout, Haas and Oatesy solid. Piakura i thought had a decent game but the rest of them i think just didnt turn up.
Billy Walters. From the first set. Easily one of his best. 7/10.

I also think Kevvie kept haas and carrigan off the field for way too long. The second they came back on momentum turned. If the change was made 10 minutes earlier we may have gotten over the line.

I am praying that we get Hunt. Walters has been good in defence and has his moments with the ball, but the quality of service from Smoothy is just so much better and you can see that our attack looks more fluid when Smoothy comes on. Walters is playing too many minutes at 9 rn which won’t happen if we get Hunt (who is also better than Smoothy to boot).

Hate to say this but this game once again is why I don't rate Kev.
We have no specific game plan to beat a side.
We have not improved in some areas all year like
We can't create overlaps inside 20.
Our centres can't pass when the winger is in so much space an under 7 could pass it.
We have massive issues being on against ordinary sides.
Billy keeps running from half with no idea what comes next and kills momentum.
Our second man plays simply don't cause the D to shut down.
Our bench rotation was far better with Flegs coming on after 20 but we changed and seem to be staying with it.

Cobbo looked really slow. Hip still not right I would guess

One of the worst viewing experiences of my life and I’ve witnessed things so traumatic that I can’t sleep at nights
Like Titans and Tigers on Thursday night footy?

I’m sitting here sinking piss
Absolutely seething after a loss.
Then I think to myself, ahh it’s actually nice to not be a custom to get belted every week anymore.

He can **** off now the way he's been playing for the past 2 months.

So livid, these ***** didn't want the win badly enough. Atrocious officiating. Walsh was dogshit for the most part, still flashes of brilliance but should have been rested. We struggle when Payne and Patty are off, this is very different to earlier in the year. Reyno was awful too, we need a lot better from him ffs.

Real fears the slide is starting again. Reign it in Kev, ffs.

There is more to life than football
