I don’t think this loss is that bad. We didn’t play well and still almost got it if not for a slightly mistimed pass.

If we lose next week, then yep get concerned.

Teams are beginning to identify how weak the Broncos are on the edges. Reynolds-Staggs-Cobbo rarely won their respective match-ups and that's where all the points came from. The Titans could have easily gone on with it when Fa'asuamaulii popped that pass to Brimson, but AJ couldn't reel it in.

I thought the forwards muscled up after the Khan-Pereira try and both Haas and Carrigan both turned the momentum. However even they were guilty of trying to score off every play and that pass Patty threw to Oates was silly. Play one, take the space, get a quick play the ball and get somebody charging at Boyd or Campbell, even a run against the grain for Staggs with Piakura running through felt like a play that was on.

If you were doing a season review, this would be the game you'd go back to show the immaturity of the team. They wanted to score off every play and while you want them to play footy you also want them to play smart and for each other. Reece Walsh kicking for himself off a quick tap, Reece Walsh looking to throw offloads off the ground, Patty throwing speculators, that play where Kotoni ended up with the football and putting in a chase for Reynolds is what you want to get away from.

More kick chase to Riki, more Haas running incisive lines and playing off the back of it etc.

Meanwhile I thought Mo and Fifita were outstanding for the Gold Coast. They just led the way for their team, and the players got on the back of it. Boyd kicked well and they controlled field position better than the Broncos in that second half.

Reynolds has been down on form for a few weeks now, his short kicking game has been pretty average all year.

Is he injured? Walsh kicked long a few times which is a bit weird.

Course there is, and we were really only 10% from where we belt them by 20. But if we want to win the whole thing we need to be a whole lot better.

We're not a premiership winning side right now. Too green, too panicky, can't build pressure.

Yep, thats right. If they keep going wide, Fifita wouldnt have been in the play so it wouldnt have made any difference. Because we came back inside to a position on the field where Fifita theoretically could have got to they had to disallow the try.

Walsh should’ve been rested & so should’ve Cobbo. I’m pretty sure Sailor should’ve easily covered for Walsh & Arthurs/Marinor should’ve covered for Cobbo.

Adam & Ezra were invincible & never felt like they were on the field.

Fooking annoying how the Fox dickheads were going on about us losing the game and on track to repeat last year’s results from now on. Someone could easily murder Ennis & the incompetent assistant coach Brandy. The salty bastards from cockroach land.

So what's our record against other top 4, 6 or 8 teams look like now? At this point, we're a game clear but we're a pretender.

Yes I know I'm being pessimistic as ****, I'm just fucking furious at the shit we just dished up.

But it's time for brutal honesty. We are not as good as we think we are. Something like 8th best attack in the comp, if that. It's only our defence keeping us in it, which is still 2nd best in the comp and by some margin, which is actually a solid plus. But we need to be a helluvalot better if we want to do anything except bow out of the finals with a whimper.

Kev has every right to be pissed. The squad is better than thisarvo.
