No, what is that?

Argh I'll do it as a last resort. Livestream is free and rightly so.

As bad as some individuals were there were team and system problems exposed. The panic in rushing up out of the line or not holding your winger was endemic. The inability to control the ruck killed us to. Yes the storm are grubby but notice how we haven't won a premiership since wrestling became a dominant part of the game. Suspect more than a coincidence. Losing 4 big players has a role in this but it can't be used as an excuse. Fringe players all should be trained in the same structures. Axings need to happen not out of panic but because the weaknesses apparent plenty of times before are laid bare for every team to attack in the future. Moga was a development project not a good option now and he has made his choice, pity one day too late for Knights to enjoy their 'prize' a few months early. Thaiday needs a few weeks in QCup to give him the motivation to end his career the right way. Had high hopes for Mead but can be released early if super league will take him. Hunt well said it all before. Bennett needs to give himself an uppercut after last night and get over his no wrestling bull**it. And patting himself on the back for the Hunt master stroke of one week in QCup after 18 months of crap. We were third playing like 14th. After all these years surely the master coach could find a way to combat the storm. The biggest problem was not that we lost, the storm were clinical with moments of brilliance, but how the structure allowed them to dominate. The refs was again poor and allowed Melbourne to unfairly dominate the ruck by admiring the art of their cheatery but not like we didn't get a few calls our way in between the ten their way.

hey mate, i got caught out in certain countries through europe earlier this year with live stream. depending on the licensing agreement some countries wont let you watch it.
i had to put up with the mrs instead of watching the game.

I'm not sure if it showed on TV but McGuire was in a really bad way tonight.

He was on the sideline trying to push his way back onto the field, but 5 people were there dragging him back.. He was literally dragged into the dressing sheds. He kept fighting them.

Meanwhile he could barely stand on his own two feet. It was ugly.
He Is still trying to work out what year we are in

Hahahaha you poor thing. It works fine normally but the nrl seems to have removed their page or account or whatever

Still cannot believe how terrible the refs were, atleast about 10 obvious forward passes. Surely Thaiday needs a stint in qld cup, Ofahengue gets his bench spot he was the only one that tried to stand up.

Rhetorical question, but how the hell does the storm put a tackled player on their back 99% of the time, and when we tackle, the opposing player falls onto their abdomen and hands. Wrestling and slow ruck and slow play the balls absolutely killed us tonight.
As well, execution was shocking. I think it was Melbourne's first 4 tries and something like 5-6/8 tries all came from penalties and our knock ons.

Its called technique . Practiced and drilled . We don`t control the guy with the balls body . They control the upper body and twist the runner on his back before the ball touches ground . Once grounded , try that its called working = penalty. Offa tried to get belly down or twist to put the ball on the ground several times. Was out techniqued .

Blair and sims were so good they ran for a combined 45m in the firat 50mins. Beaten up like a pair of favourites

Props don`t run the ball from kick returns ... If we held the ball for 6 tackles they would have made more metres .

Moga is just pure shit ... he s should never wear the Broncos jersey again ....

In fact he is so bad that I'm wishing Reed never retired so there would be no place fgor Moga

Moga or Roberts ? They were both poor . Moga was the only Bronc able to get a quick play the ball . Set up a try for the winger .

Unless the rules are changed Melbourne will be the benchmark for years to come.

Doesn't matter if Slater, Smith and Cronk retire. It won't be a brand new day. This wrestling rubbish, which has been a fucking blight on rugby league for over a decade, needs to be eradicated.

As for the Broncos - too many mistakes and bad defence.

Also need to **** Moga off. The guy adds nothing. We'd be better of with 12 men on the field.

Bunj isnside him and Pearson rushing in on the opposition centre didn`t help him .

Meady ,,, sorry bro you just don`t cut it .

Maybe this isn't the right thread for it, but I really don't have an issue with the way Melbourne play the game these days. They've perfected the 'catch and control' defensive style, so they can maneuver players onto their backs and win the ruck. As resilient as the Broncos are in defence, they often have trouble in the ruck and the opposition far too often finds their front.

I wish there were more teams like Melbourne. The way they can get bodies into motion, manipulate the defence and come up with last play options is a sight to behold. On top of that, they're fantastic at nurturing young talent. So many players would either be lost to the game or in and out of first grade if it wasn't for the Storm system.

Every so often they do get carried away and somehow they do seem to be the beneficiaries of some very fortunate decisions. However calls tend to go the way of the dominant sides and Melbourne have certainly been that for well over a decade now.

As upset as I am with the game (I literally spat chips at Hunt kicking it into the legs of Billy), Melbourne are on their way to another premiership and there is a lot to learn about the game through watching them play.
Totally agree with this. I think the whole 'wrestlemania' thing is pretty much overstated by the media because basically teams just can't consistently match how the storm play. The days of the crusher and chicken wing and figure 4 leglock and suplex are long gone, but the lazy nrl media haven't figured that so perpetuate the story. Not sure where people see them as a boring team either.. they have speed, power, structure, rapid counter attack. I'd be so happy if the Broncos could play a weekly style of boring play like the storm do because we'd be sitting on top of the ladder with everone below thinking how the **** do we catch these *****... I know... lets whinge and call them wrestlers. Credit where its due.... I hate the storm but their style is not ugly, and they win... often and well. I don't buy into them being a pseudo Queensland team, but **** they have some talent that our numpty recruiters missed, and some skill developed that we don't seem to be able to do. I'd be stoked if Bellamy wanted to return to Brisbane for a few years and sort the place out, because I don't see us going anywhere in the next few seasons, and I'm not seeing anything outwardly that says its changing.

I've never been a fan of Pearson, but he tried his heart out. Except for a few terrible decisions in defence and that comes from inexperience, but impressed me none the less.
Joe offa had a brilliant game and should hold his spot in the 17, I would even like to see him start over Sims.

Is this a pro Storm forum or fucking what? I understand some of you admire the way the Storm play their game, but this is a Broncos forum and we just got the absolute shit beat out of us and some of you are on here praising and admiring how the Storm play? Time and fucking place ok? It's like some of you could care less about the Broncos.

We just copped a devastating loss that will most probably dent our confidence in the worst way, leaving us not making the top 4 and getting bundled out of the finals quick smart. What our boys dished up tonight is appalling. Yes the Storm are great but they aren't unbeatable even if we had a few of our players out. I can't accept our weak mentality tonight. We lost this game before kick off and we lost it in the worst way - between the ears.

I'm over it. We were traveling so well and to dish that up tonight is shameful.
Sure, its not pro storm.. everyone is devo but people on here just carry on like fucking 3 year olds. Blame the refs, blame the Nrl, blame the draw, blame the whatever... **** me dead. The problem is we play like shit with no killer instinct, no aggression, and what seems like no game plan. There were plenty of times last night when our ball carrier was drifting across field, with space outside but no support player that wanted to push into holes... the space was plenty yet we consistently just passed long and deep with no speed. The defence was so ill disciplined and ineffective it wasn't funny. It feels like its back to griffin days when we used to ask what the **** do we do at training. Big challenge for Benny because I'm not really feeling any progress in the way we are developing as team.

We played an almost full-strength Storm, who are gearing up their combinations for a deciding Origin game. We played them without Oates, Milford and Boyd, and lost McGuire after about 7 minutes. That there is at least $3 million of next years' cap. And left us with 16 players.

Consequently we had gun-shy wingers rushing in every time the ball got near them, with the confidence in each other shattered, causing the centres to overcompensate and leave gaps everywhere. We played a style of football that is high-risk even when the combinations are there, but almost suicide when we have depth players filling in.

We got pinged for our one forward pass, and they had at least 6 of them let go, 3 of which were involved in try-scoring plays, as was our one. That's a 4-try turnaround.

Any team in that situation would lose by 30. With McGuire back, Oates back, Boyd back (and Kahu back to wing), and Milford giving us another option, it eliminates all the negatives except for the Storm hunger and the Ref's incompetence.

As an aside, when that Slater try was called, the refs knew it was a forward pass. The head ref was saying to the touchies "but what do you want them to check", knowing full well sending it to the video ref would be useless as they can't rule on forward passes. So instead of having the guts to call back a play by the NRL Darlings (2013 SBW all over again), the coward just awards the try. Pathetic.

They do it well but they get away with a lot on the ground to because they are seen to 'dominate' the contact which is bulls**t and Smith and co are protected species. Wrestling should not be a dominant tackle cutting someone's legs in half on first contact or a one or one smash and drive should be. Watch super league so much better flow to the game. Imagine that with better players! But yes if NRL wants to ruin their product we have to hire their coaches and teach our guys to do same rather than this moral high grand bs. There is no high ground here just smarter vs dumber play within the current interpretations. And if get penalised then that is ok. penalties are fine when you have the time to hold your line and will often be evened up later anyway. Besides if Broncs start doing the Storm style well then it will likely be outlawed soon anyway by the NSWRL ... I mean NRL.
