I didn't think he was very good at all. Not even good. Threw that nice pass for the try but was gassed.

Disagree there mate. Thought he had a pretty good game.

At last we agree...I wrote my post without having seen yours and I just used a different set of words to say the same thing.

you missed the most important facet of a halfs game and the only stat that actually means anything. repeat sets

He only kicked three times from the 29 times he touched the ball. No repeat sets.

Murphy does all of that.

that seems an incredibly low amount of kicking for a half, even if the other half is the dominant kicker

I don't think Moga will even come close to turning him inside out.

It's O'Neill he'll have to worry about.

Yep, Linnett plays the opposite side. Its no coincidence that our left side defence was doing a lot of work at training today. They tend to get us there a lot.

Remember they only get Kodi for one session and then games. They're not going to lump him with being the main kicker.

I wouldn't mind for the first 4 or 5 sets if we just played straight through the middle exclusively. Just have all our forwards line up for quick, uptempo hit-ups one after the other, followed by a long kick and a good chase. That way we're tiring the forwards out with the work load, and then turning them around just to get back onside. It'll be two or three tackles before any of them can take a hit-up, and if we muscle up in defence, we'll be getting the ball back in good field position.

If we can get the upper hand in the forward battle, thereby restricting their yardage gain, their outside backs also become useless in attack with all the addition workload they'll be doing coming out of their own end. If we can gain an ascendancy early on in the match and there forwards start to fatigue, a few long spreads for our back line, as well as some second phase play can really pull apart their defence. If we can get early momentum through our forwards, surely early ball to Roberts to get him one on one with Linnett will be pretty effective.

I also feel our bench rotation is stronger than their bench, so if our starting forwards can do a job on them, we'll more than likely continue the momentum through TPJ, Ese'Ese, etc, which is we're Hunt and Milford can do their thing.

Any kick stats for all those who worry only about kicking in this forum?

Milford needs to sort out Morgan. He's been Morgan's little biatch for far too long.
maybe he should tackle him then. milford is a speedbump when morgan's going after him, even locky had a bit more oomph about him in the defensive line.

He wants to be the halfback and we all need and want a organiser so no he needs to kick more.
