Does anyone think their might be a problem fitness? Our line speed seems a lot slower then early in the season. Poor line speed and an undersized forward pack is a fatal combination.

Our fitness was praised at the start of the season.

I'm not using it as an excuse. Well, I am. It's another "what could have been" game. Because we were right royally fucked over. Beyond doubt. The Hoffman try was 100% no try. Any day. There was that one attacking set in the 2nd half where the ball pops over Hunt's shoulder, someone grabs it, puts it down, but the video ref calls it a knock on. No try. Fair enough. But did the fucking video ref not notice that Hoffman was off-side at least two metres in front of his goal line? It was blatant, and it's the reason Hunt was pressured in to the error. But no one gives a shit, Storm ball. We should have had another attacking set, and the way the Storm were, we would have scored no doubt. And that last try. Was it Proctor who offloaded the ball in a 45 degree angle forward? But again, video ref doesn't look at that, even if they did, they can't judge on a forward pass. Because the touchies are so fucking clinical that they never miss a thing, right? **** me, we played like shit, but maybe the reason we don't play like winners is because we seriously have to outplay the opposition 200% just to win a game, and mentally that's just too fucking much for some of these players to overcome.

I would love to know whether Hunts kick on the third in the first set was a brain fade or a premeditated tactic.

They were making really good ground and may have been able to get to an attacking kick on the last but instead, we were on the back foot and let in the inevitable try.

R.Hoffmans first try was most definitely not a try as our Hoffman was taken out in the contest for the ball. Credit to the coaches in first grade I would be getting a fine each week for spraying referees.

Was a season ticket holder myself from 2006-09 until finances, scheduling and the direction of the team lead to our group putting the kabosh on it.

Only attended the odd game from 2010-13 but can only imagine the level of frustration you would have felt.

Easy to forget about the logistics of going to a game. The amount of time and effort it takes just to get to the game, never mind being seated next to the odd loon who either talks way too loudly or the odd wannabe stadium librarian who gets cranky whenever you attempt to get into cheering.

Factor in all of that with being stuck with nothing to do but watch the game is rough.

While I don't hold it against anybody who chooses to stay home in the comfort of their own living room to watch the game, I feel like if you attend the game, you've really earned the right to have your say about the team.

Thanks big Pete. I've been a season member for the last 7 years. It's been tough. The near losses, the hope and optimism torn to shreds. The passion is immense. You constantly double guess your convictions on what would be good or bad for the team... It's a roller coaster for sure.

I do feel helpless and pissed off to have my club and team just abused and miss-managed by a coach who I've at times admired. I think he's a great man and a good people manager but a poor head coach. He needs to be a part of a team not at the top trying to run one. At least not yet.

He needs to learn that what he's done is wrong and make better decisions in the future. Last night's loss and the week before was a clear indication of his lack of understanding and influence over a team culture. Just because we were ahead on the score board against the Warriors, doesn't necessarily mean to me we won that game. We scraped through. Didn't deserve the win. And hook didn't deserve the praise! We were out muscled and dominated all night. That's a bad sign as a team trying to assert a play at the title. We don't deserve a Pat on the back and that's the point.

I'm again optimistic that next year will change things. That it'll all turn around. Again, like so many times before, on paper,future looks promising. Why I think Bennett has a plan. I think he can pull it off. Reform us into something that represents strength and resilience. We can be a title force again. And a coaching staff of Wayne and Walters, corvo and even Griffin can deliver that. Locky and langer hanging round to mentor and coach too is fruitful. ..

that game was a classic example of a good kicking game verse shit inconsistent kicking.

our long kicking game has been a problem all year and was highlighted tonight, cronk completely schooled hunt in how to be an nrl halfback.

yes hunt has been very good this year with linebreaks and tries and good plays close to the line, but his kicking game anywhere outside the opposition 20 is still horrible.

its really saying something when your dummy half can kick to the corners better then both your halves, melbourne choked us out of that game with perfect 5th tackle options, one can only hope lockyer still has plans on coaching our halves next year because first on the agenda needs to be trapping fullbacks and wingers in the corners and not just constantly grubbering it straight across the sideline, it doesnt create any pressure it seems like from behind the 50 all our kicks go straight down the fullbacks throat even if we kick early in the count, and all our kicks inside opposition territory go over the sideline, where are all the attacking kicks !!!

we try one chip and chase a game and it almost comes off then thats it ?

barba looked like he had the ball on a string tonight, caught a few terrible balls at his feet, stood up slater and almost went in for a solo effort, very solid in defence even though he was heavily targeted, little bit scary with some of those passes but best all round game from him this year looks the odds for the 6 next year with milford to stay at 1.

hodges really waits to long to pass when he makes breaks its quite frustrating

maranta had a terrible night with his hands and got stood up by koriebete but like hunt i guess they were bound to have a bludger sooner or later this year.

all in all, melbourne really know how to beat the broncos and always turn up firing at suncorp....and we seem to always play right into their hands

You're the one that said you had a good night sleep after the gloating, and no matter how you try to embellish it, fact is that last night's game was used by the Bennett loving brigade to tear into Hook and those who aren't convinced Bennett is the solution, or like me, dislike the look of all the knives in Hook's back, one of which has Wayne's fingerprints.

You know as well as I do that I want Griffin out as much as anyone else, yet people here are trying to imply that those who think differently about Bennett are automatically Griffin lovers.

I was as pissed off about that bench and its use as anybody else, and although I hoped it would've brought out the best out of the players, I had absolutely no doubt that the past week events were going to weigh heavily in last night's performance.

Unfortunately we couldn't take a trick last night, and it turned out to be for the worst. Using that to gloat is in my opinion, a pretty low blow!

FTR I can't even bring myself to read this thread, i am so 'guttered' (ode to [MENTION=7802]broncos4life[/MENTION] :becky:) about last night's game. I have never been so distraught watching something I am supposed to love. I said to my partner last night, "I'm gonna have to give up watching the broncos, I don't enjoy it anymore" and she said, "just don't follow a team anymore"... If only it were that easy...
