[Round 22, 2021] Broncos vs Roosters

The refereeing and the people arbitrarily changing the rules are just terrible at their jobs.
I don't disagree.
Happy to be labelled a dead shit my friend, it was blatant about 10 blatant incidents ago.

We know why the Broncos losing is cash in the bank. Like, literally.
It really isn't. It's just a childish way to look for excuses for losing.

Asides from the fucked refereeing, this was a good performance by the Broncos. At least, good compared to some of the dire efforts over the last two years. I think we've been more consistent over the back end of the season so I'm hopeful 2022 will turn out better.

As long as we don't play the Storm, Panthers and Parra twice within the first six rounds anyway. Can't rule that out.
Oh you just know we are opening next season against the rabbits featuring Milf.. (and us with AReyn) Followed by the Storm featuring X. Then a resurgent Dogs featuring TPJ. And repeat.

Foul play does fall under the jurisdiction of the captain's challenge, so Perenara was entitled to rule on the head high.

It's the fair call under the current rules but utterly ridiculous.
fair enough and tbh i am not up with the letter of the new laws but...deadset looked across the shoulders and he ducked his chin in. if it happens in the first 10 minutes do they even challenge... anyway good effort missed gamble at the end. Milf is a myth had a chance to silence the critic's but didnt

**** YOU Ashley Klein you are a first class **** of a ref . Always throughout your whole miserable career you have dudded the Broncos time and time again . Flegler clearly goes for the ball but the rorters appeal supersedes all . Seriously the Broncos should be blowing up at the NRL , nearly every week we get fucked up the arse by appalling refereeing. This was a really good game up until Kennedy drops that ball, (aside from the other numerous stupid mistakes). Actually impressed with the efforts of Glenn, Levi , Mead and flegler tonight . They are playing with a determination now I haven't seen for seen for some time , we lose but we were really competitive and our defence is improving every game . Bullshit way to lose this game but finally we were in it to the death and that alone impressed me . Go the Broncos .

I didn't have much of an issue with the Flegler penalty, personally.

It was reviewable because the knock-on occurred in the play the ball prior to the ball clearing the ruck. You can certainly debate whether or not it was a 'reportable' offense, but given what we've seen over the last few months, it probably was. Let's not forget that Flegler was put on report for the shot on Radley early in the first half, and I don't think that shot even made contact with the head. If that shot is on report, a forearm to the nose probably is as well.

First game I've watched in a month.

It was an awesome game to be honest, however the last 5 minutes showcased everything that's wrong with the NRL right now.

Too many rules that are easy to manipulate or exploit, combined with grossly incompetent referees.

It's ruined the sport, and it breaks my heart.

So you believe the wrong decision of putting Flegler on report earlier justifies the wrong decision to over turn that call?

Carry on then, when the very predictable result eventuates you can tell yourself how awesome this "competition" is where results are decided fairly and the NRL happily leave results up to genuine chance.

He's not though, because it happened in the previous tackle. A play-the-ball suddenly doesn't become a play-the-ball because you stuffed it up.

How the hell can Klein tell Perenara to go back and recheck the contact after he’d already cleared it
Klein just went with the flow bro. At least it was entertaining so pvl will probably be applauding him for that.

I knew the moment Rhys Kennedy dropped it cold on a regular hit up we were going to get beat, I'd rather focus on that than what happened in the bunker

How does an NRL standard player fk that up? you shouldn't be looking at how many blokes are going to smash you, catch the ball and play it safely, do that 4 times and kick it long, we win that game.

Unbelievable stuff
