How about when we are about to start off a set with momentum, and a tiring opposition, only for the bunker to call a stop to play because their kicker was suspected to be hit late. Technically the video ref can do so, even if there was no actual stoppage in play, if it's worthy of a reportable offence. Except we're not given even a single replay. Just the on-field ref saying "reviewing late contact...."..... "you want a penalty, here?..... "oh, play the ball here".... carry on, except the Warriors were just given 30 seconds to get their breath back. Anyone still think the video ref isn't pulling every single string?

Or how about the try that was a no try but only because the ref blew the whistle. Much to the glee of the video ref, it looked 100% like a Broncos try, except while deciding which Bronco grounded it first, they are able to deny it on technicality because the ref supposedly blew the whistle while the ball was still alive. How fucking convenient. I've never once seen that happen, but I guess the Broncos are just that unlucky that it's the first time that has happened in my 30+ years of watching.

And I heard Checcin confirm to the bunker that he had blown his whistle after the touch by Brisbane. He re-confirmed it with Perenara.

I thought I heard him say that as well... thought he said "I called held way after this point" when CHT had just lost the ball, because I was like awesome it will be play on then.

And then right at the end Henry zooms out to show Cecchin with the whistle in his mouth... although doesn't mean that he actually blew it.
 
Looking at the replay of Milford’s try, Reece Walsh collects him flush on the chin with a swinging arm. Should have been a penalty try.
 
Everyone talking up Milford yet he was still big average all game. At the game is really see how many holes he has in his performances... That one point where he kicks the ball dead he went nuts having words at Oates for but chasing his kick but no-one was ever getting to it. Terrible play and terrible excuse seeking attitude to blame the people around him.

Wasn't the only time he barked at his teammates. On one hand that's good cause it shows he's trying, but not exactly when the last four weeks this team has scrapped and fought for a few narrow losses against much better teams and he's been shit for 5 years.

I have to say I'm really pleased with where Flegler is at. He truly has come back from origin a better player.

Can't believe the club are letting Bullemore negotiate. But, they want another FRF and if there's something asking to open up a spot on our roster I think ikin sees that as a freebie to get that next box ticked.

Love me some Herbie. He was probably my best player out there today other than Haas the obvious pick.

Oh and a final thought... Niu still needs to learn how to play defence as a fullback... Several times now he's failed to just PLANT the ball instead of a "Chuck the washing in" air swing and failed swipe attempts to bat it dead.

Thought we were playing all over the Warriors till Kennedy came on. He missed two crucial tackles with one leading to a try and the other big metres to the opposition. I was a fan at the start of his career but he is losing me at the moment. Milford had probably his best game in 3 years but still took the wrong option on the last tackle on multiple occasions. Instead of taking the percentage play and forcing the Warriors to drop out he kept going for the glory or nothing play.

Liking what I'm seeing for next year and Reynolds should sort out our last tackle options nicely.

Yesssssss. Exactly this re Milford.

He screwed us many times today. People need to re-watch..

You see how poor his decision making is when you're at the game, high angle view, seeing the field he's playing with and how fucking stupid he is to attack the side which is already stacked with defenders, and runs his outside men into a cornered wall.

Kick the ball and get a repeat set ffs.

Gamble is leagues ahead of Milford's 5th tackle options
 
Am I the only one who doesn't think Herbie isn't a ball hog, but just chooses the right moments to pass?

I haven't seen many times when I thought he should of passed, I just see him trying to get into a position in order for the pass to actually make sense and position the winger to be in space and not immediately tackled or taken over the sideline.

I like what he brings, he's a real good'un and will have a long and successful career in the sport (pending injuries etc.) It was hard to see him like that tonight, but it's good for him too. Given the Broncos are a non event in terms of the finals, are the powers that be, putting teams that may make a difference into the 8? We won last week and the ref took us out. The Ref tried again this week when the Warriors are playing for the 8. PVL is looking more like Donald Sutherland in Hunger Games every week.

I'm with you.. there have been a couple of times but majority of times there isn't much room on the outside for Oates.
Oates would be better cutting back in field with Herbie attracting the centre and winger and slips him under getting Oates getting 1 on 1 with the half back

Oates could also be a bit more proactive when Herbie gets the ball. because quite often if Herbie doesn't break the first tackle, he at least sticks get's his head (and hands) out the other side. perfect for an offload to Oates to streak away. Oates needs to get into a position to receive it though

Yeah that could work aswell Oates isn't the winger to run round a bloke
it also doesn't help that Glenn causes no real attacking threat which pushes the defenders more onto Herbie and the winger can stay committed to Oates
 
BTW, did anyone else that went to the game have a laugh at the several 6 again announcements that happened during stoppages in play.

one even happened after half time had been called, lol. someone must have kept leaning on the button lol
