[Round 23, 2021] Broncos vs Warriors

Nice to watch the team play with a bit of steel and resilience. A very noticeable change in attitude over the last 6 odd rounds which is so pleasing to see, but obviously begs the question of why now? Liking what Cobbo is showing too.
Apart from the bunker tomfuckery at the end again, it was an enjoyable game of rugba league for a change.

Have only just been able to watch the game.
My thoughts..
What a win!
Fleggs and Haas were brilliant.
Riki & Hethrington were good.
Milford had his best showing in 2yrs.
Team looked much sharper when Levi came on. But we do need Turps high tackle rate.
We need to try and speed up our play the balls (besides Haas) and use the likes of Levi, Niu & Herbie to dart out of dummy half.
Since TPJ & Lodge have been punted, this group has grown, significantly.
Im still not sold on Niu at FB and think Cobbo deserves a shot.
Herbie is a boss but **** he needs to learn when to pass the ball. A try went begging late in the first half when he didn’t pass to Oates on his outside.
Coates still cannot catch or defend and comes in off his wing way too hard. But can put on a finish.
The bunker/NRL tried to **** us for the third week in a row. Surely DD & Ikin ask for a please explain. I can see these types of calls costing us a spot in the finals next year, sadly. It’s important we get on the forefront and understand why we are being dudded so hard.
Walsh is something special, give him a few years and he’ll be one of the best FB’s in the game.
Reynolds, Capewell & Staggs still to come in for next year and what exciting times we have to look forward to.
And lastly, congrats to Kev, DD, Ikin and the playing group on genuinely turning a corner. .
We are certainly on the up!
 
Herbie’s conversions- how good?
If he’d only learn to pass the pill.
Big Oates never dropped a ball when carting it out of our end this week. Consider that a win for the big galoot.
 
Great to see some of that Milf magic that I didn't think existed anymore. 1 try 3 TA and 2 LBA is nothing to sneeze at despite it being against a spare parts side who haven't played at home in two years. But Milf will do well at Souths mainly because their squad is so much more talented. It could even resurrect his career.

Great match between two bottom placed sides. The talent showed by future stars such as Coates, Walsh and Niu was outstanding. Good win, boys.

What's with this notion that Herbie is a fullback? He can't/won't pass the ball. **** that for a trait in the spine.

My apologies to Peter Psaltis. I just always thought that his voice. It's Matt Thompson who's crap then. Someone should tell him how big Brisbane fan base is.
