Round 23 Discussion

Gee that was a great tackle by Gordon on Chambers. Storm still score though

In fairness, who else are they going to play?

John Morris is retired.
De Gois is on the Hayne Plane.
And Politoni isn't the type of player you'd want playing 80 each week.

You're probably better off letting your other players playing with a quality player than handicapping yourself for the sake of some Rugby League Live 2 notion.

Then don't let De Gois go in the first place. Lichcaa isn't Milford, had no real experience whatsoever so for me he wasn't eve a proven quality player. I just find it really strange. The ironic thing too is that if they played him from day one he might have re-signed. The whole situation puzzles me.

Cronulla didn't have much say in either situation. The rats were looking for the first excuse to jump off the sinking Titanic and took it. Also, it'd be pretty tough trying to attract any up and coming hookers to break contract and come aboard with the way things are.

They're a wreck and beggars cannot be choosers.

Score at nil all, go and prep dinner.

Come back and it's 30 nil. All is right with the world.

Commentators keep praising the Storm this whole game. They're beating the Sharks FFS.

Lol Gordon. Clear path to the line and trips over his own feet.

The Sharks really need a miracle to find some halves for next year. Robson is bad and Brown strikes me more as a bench utility.

Lets hope they fall into some sort of financial strife or something and are forced to fold so we can put their license to actual use! Perth Reds, I'm looking at you.

Speaking of rabbles.

Cory Paterson on the wing.

Still faster than Reed.

A game like this is more or less a litmus test of the favourite.

In this case, the Roosters look like they don't want to play football. Some of their players are taking soft options and taking their opposition for granted.

Now, I don't know if the Tigers have the strike or know how in these conditions but so far I've been very underwhelmed by the Roosters.

This is typical Roosters though. They rarely do too much in the first half and just outclass their opponent in the 2nd.

Great 40/20 from Brooks right there.

I have no idea why they've got to tap the ball 20m inside the field.

It doesn't matter anyways because Rowe eventually puts it down. He's had an unhappy night tonight the young Kiwi fullback.

It won't work in the finals.

They really need to put together a consistent performance if they want to go back to back because right now the writing on the wall says they're at best a prelim finalist.

Absolutely Beads.

I've got to say, I've been pretty disappointed with the work from Farah & Woods. It's a wet game, it needs to be a tight game played around the ruck with changes of angle and kicks on the back of it. Seems like too much responsibility is being deferred to the younger players and they're struggling under pressure.

Woods in particular has been disappointing me with his runs. He's put in some of the best performances of any prop this season but some of the lines he's been hitting have been lazy. He should be standing up here, leading the Tigers from the first tackle. Instead he's just doing enough to keep him out of trouble.
