I can’t….I’m living in denial. Personally I feel I’m giving Kev too much credit hence the “hopefully”

maybe he wants to keep paix away from the shit show?
It was him keeping Paix out that caused the shit show

Can’t wait for turpin’s watermelon lobs. Hope he gets them out of the way in the first set. Gonna need a Tyson gamble masterpiece for this one.
And don't forget his obligatory forward pass followed by hands on hips in disbelief.......

Surprising, I didn’t think he was so piss weak.
Hardly pissweak. He was thinking of leaving. Kevvie gets him to re-sign for a year by promising him a shot at fullback and then a few weeks later Kevvie signs Walsh obviously to play fullback.. Herbie says fark this I'm out.

I can only fathom that Kevvie is not wanting to blow up the team sheet for a must win game at the end of the year... but I just can't see why he's not picking Paix.

After conceding 100+ points in 2 weeks changes should absolutely have been made by now... defence has been an issue and having Turps there to defend has clearly not done anything. Paix coming back in was a must primarily because we need points this game and Turps provides none. We haven't been defending and we haven't been scoring, at least look to improve one of those aspects.

I can understand not picking Piakura & TC... TC is coming back from an injury and would probably cover the 17 jersey, but Hosking is probably more reliable if he's needed due to injury, because Kevvie never uses the 17 jersey for anything else.
Piakura is only just starting to get some consistency back in QCup so he's likely to be pressing his claim over the preseason rather than coming in as basically a 1 game rookie for a one off do or die game

Kobe must be struggling with his head knock. He's also been beaten up and basically failed to finish the game for 5-6 weeks straight due to the shoulder injury and HIA's... he's probably due a break purely from picking up 4 or so HIA's in a month!!

Turpin starting 9, won’t be be here next year.
Gamble starting 6, won’t be here next year. Ezra has done absolutely nothing wrong yet has been dropped. Not to mention is literally our only attacking threat.
If Herbie wanting out is true, that’ll be the hardest to take of it all. He gives 100% and is much more important to this squad then Staggs.
I’ve got big worries around if Walsh will actually improve this squad, and if it comes at the cost of Herbie, it’ll 100% bite us in the ass.
Wtf is going on Kev? Looks like a coach that wants to get sacked and paid out.

If Herbie really wants to leave despite his potential to be a truly gun centre at a top 8 club (well...MEANT to be a top 8 club), just so he can play Fullback at the team that will be running last for the next 3 years, then he's clearly putting his own ambition over the good of the team and is welcome to leave. It's a shame he can't see past his nose and notice the good he would bring to a side on the up, but it is what it is.

Was genuinely asking mate, I hope you're wrong, I'd be seriously upset to lose Herbie. He's a beast.
His time out has shown how important he is to the team.
His speed on the edge and his work rate from our own end has been missed. Staggs, Hoeter, Lee and even Mariner (only young though) are levels below Herbie in alot of areas.

He extended before Walsh. It comes from Herbie. He’s right to play but isn’t risking it because he’s on the hunt for a new club. Likely dolphins.

I`m calling BS right here .

Did you speak to Herbie yourself ? Or is it information relayed to you ?

Another poster said he talked to Herbie twice personally and he said he isn`t ready . So some one is tellin fibs ...

This is the closest thing I could find but I call bullshit surely .

Callum Walker is a bottom feeder scummy wannabe journalist, he doesn't have any inside info and he doesn't know shit about what's going on with Herbie.

Also when did Herbie say fullback is a must? And when did he say it's a must in 2023?

He said he would be keen to play fullback at some point in his career, that's it.
