You play where you’re needed to, if he can’t take it he gets shipped out.Hardly pissweak. He was thinking of leaving. Kevvie gets him to re-sign for a year by promising him a shot at fullback and then a few weeks later Kevvie signs Walsh obviously to play fullback.. Herbie says fark this I'm out.
In at least one interview he said he re-signed for one year to try for the fullback position next year. The club promised him he’d get time there in the off season. Here is one report:Also when did Herbie say fullback is a must? And when did he say it's a must in 2023?
He said he would be keen to play fullback at some point in his career, that's it.
I know. I was just posting where someone may have heard. I totally agree it’s bullshitCallum Walker is a bottom feeder scummy wannabe journalist, he doesn't have any inside info and he doesn't know shit about what's going on with Herbie.

I definitely remember him mentioning it in an interview, but can't find the video. The report below has some quotes from him saying that's his intention.Do you have any reports that contain quotes from Herbie?
This stuff on Herbie is rubbish. It comes from a notoriously emotional poster backed up by an article with no post-re-signing quotes.
Relax everyone.
Yes, for sure, but it's likely Herbie is one of the disillusioned/disgruntled and if he doesn't seek a release, few of us are expecting he remains beyond 2023.This stuff on Herbie is rubbish. It comes from a notoriously emotional poster backed up by an article with no post-re-signing quotes.

Herbie has reiterated his claim on the fullback position since the Walsh signing and shrugged it all off as healthy competition. I am sure he's pissed off though. He made some very public statements about wanting the position, being promised he'd be trialled there, and then had it dismissed. Even Lockyer weighed in:
I wonder if Kotoni's funk at the beginning of the season and post Origin has anything to do with him being overlooked at 6? His name was never, and still is never, mentioned in spine discussions, and even the coach's mediocre son, the butt of jokes, was preferred over him.
Now it's Billy's fault Kotoni isn't playing 5/8.
No, dumbass, his father promised the position to Kotoni as a sweetener, then gifted it to his son even after he dudded two trials in that position. Kotoni's name wasn't even raised as a candidate in the preseason. The club made a bit of a fool of him, I thought. Whether he saw it that way he never let on.Now it's Billy's fault Kotoni isn't playing 5/8.
Let's be real. Walsh is fullback next season. If Herbie stayed to get a chance at playing fullback - which is the reason he gave in interviews - his reason to stay has been stomped all over. Maybe he'll stay anyway, but we now have two centres who've been thrown these sops, plus another long term centre who's queued right behind Herbie.I don`t see a problem .
If he trains there in pre season and does better than Reece , Tesi and Selwyn he deserves it .
I don`t think you give a guy a position just because he says he likes the idea .
The previous 2 of the 3 have Q Cup and NRL experience . Selwyn was a star at Wynnum as #1 a year ago .
I`m afraid you are gonna have to prove you are worth FB money Herb .

Great, another preseason of the bachelor while the coaching staff dither about which of 4 players will be a selected in a crucial position. Last year was 5/8 and this year is fullback apparently. No , I don`t think that Walsh has automatic selection as #1 .
That could ruin the kid .Not having to compete for the position is a hiway to mediocrity .
He is in a 4 way shoot out .Back 5 get injured the most in NRL . Back ups are needed .
OK !
Herbie is FB then . The other kids can go soothe their egos . LOL .
I`d imagine that FBs would do a slightly different gym and running training regime than a centre .
A little less anaerobic and more aerobic gym work and lots more cardio and distance of running per week .
So then it comes down to planning . How many full backs do the squad need ?
Because their training and diet will need to be modified compared to players in other positions .
To much FB training might weaken other areas needed to play centre .
Conundrum ?
