I know we haven't played the Knights yet but started this thread to get across to the devoted fans that we may not have to face Dave Taylor for this match.

SOUTH Sydney's brave finals charge could be derailed with Maroons enforcer Dave Taylor in danger of being rubbed out for the season after allegedly headbutting Cowboys centre Brent Tate in his side's golden-point win on Friday night.

NRL match-review commissioner Greg McCallum viewed the altercation yesterday.

McCallum will call for extra camera angles from match broadcaster Channel 9 tomorrow to determine whether Taylor should be formally charged.

The incident happened in the 30th minute of Souths' thrilling 26-24 triumph in extra time at a rain-soaked ANZ Stadium in Sydney.

Making a hit-up, Taylor was caught in a two-man tackle involving Tate and Ashley Graham and appeared to make contact with the former Test centre with his head.

Tate can be heard on the Channel 9 effects microphone, saying: "Hey, what about the f------ headbutt".

I have a feeling they will rub Taylor out. It doesn't look as bad as some other headbutts but he does change direction to use his head on Tate. We will have to wait and see whether they deem it as accidental or intentional.

It could be because i find him over hyped and lacking self control.

Did you see his interview on The Footy Show?

He tried to hold his tongue on the judiciary, but he still seemed to be fuming about missing out on Origin 3. I think it will count against him come Wednesday, they seem a very spiteful bunch.

He'll get rubbed out and with Sutton out, Merritt a likely withdrawal, Brisbane have all the chance to battle for 2nd on the ladder.

Taylor needs to get over the origin3 thing, him missing out was correct. Its Uate not missing out that i found wrong.

Exactly.

They only seem to do their job when they have an agenda. The agenda with Taylor was that the Qld press began to question the integrity of the system following Uate's escape. After that we had that farcial JT report and then Taylor copping the full penalty for a tackle that wasn't even penalised.

The charge was justified but it's interesting to see players like Uate and Gallen escape punishment when they were surely deserving of a stint.

It's the lack of consistensy that exposes the judiciary for the farce it is.

I don't want them there after that Isaac Luke acting academy on Friday night.

I'd rather beat them with Merritt, Inglis & Taylor all playing too thank you very much.

I think I would rather move one of Teo/Gillett/Glenn (or a rotation of all 3) in the centres opposed to a Reed/Beale pairing.

I guess the only slight positive is it won't be Hodges on Inglis, which tends to end badly for Hodges.
