We probably shouldn't be that surprised that Griffen has gone back to the team that was working earlier this season. He's clearly got a lot of faith. I'm just not sure what the consequences are if this team fails to fire on Friday. If Norman can't manufacture any genuine opportunities does that mean he's finished as 5/8? And if that's the case does Ben Hunt get the chance to make his case next season?

This is probably Josh Hoffman's first run of bad form in his NRL career, yet it seems people have already completely written him off... I mean, he's a 'nuffy'?

Deadset, give me a break. Has the game changed that much over the past year or two that Hoffman is now a limited player who holds no value to us? I despair.

He's going to carve up this weekend. Bugger everyone who's written him off, called for a new fullback and whatever, the kid is going to blitz the Panthers. Bring it!

How are these not massive changes? The fact we've played with that team before is irrelevant. The fact is our coach thinks Dale Copley deserves to be in the side so much he is willing to change the combos we've been building (and actually looking half decent with) by moving Norman who has shown more at fb than Hoffman all year to the halves where he has been meh all year, our 5/8 in Hunt who looks sharp in the halves back to the bench and a nuffie in Lollman who has a heart the size of a pea and gets injured every second tackle who's only attribute is pace and an uncanny ability to not be able to pass or tackle (worst 1 on 1 defending fb in the league) or look for offloads in support from our forwards at fb.

Anything I missed?

Yeah we looked great with norman at FB against Manly. I can't decide which bit of Norman's FB game I enjoyed more. When he basically did nothing to bring the ball back, instead ran laterally in front of our line, very nearly being pushed back over the line? or was it when we really needed to avoid a repeat set he didn't even attempt to get out of the in goal, instead casually walked the ball dead like we were 12 in front and he was running down the clock... yeah he was great

He's the lesser of two evils I'm afraid, Beale would be first choice but we went with Norman and should've stuck with him. Conversely, what skills has Hoffman showed that Norman hasn't bettered him at? The only thing is his reading of kicks in D and kick returns. Please feel free to show me any other parts of Hoffman's game where he betters Norman.

I don't get all the calls to put Beale @ FB. The only evidence of Beale's FB play is when Locky was in the side, and really how hard is it to look good at the back when you are getting quality ball from the best player to have played the game?

bahahaha what try savers??? name a try norman saved. I'm not really sure why you are insinuating that hoffman is bad defensively at FB? he has made many crucial one on one tackles that have saved our arse. For example, if he doesnt make that tackle on Manu in the warriors game, we are now no chance of a finals appearance
