Having re-watched a number of our early games this season, there was depth, good angles run by T'eo, Glenn and Gillett (especially that corker of a try v Knights that Macca set up), and yes, the forwards controlled momentum dominated the middle. Also, the kicking was good as were the kick-chases.
I don't think any of the games with Norman at the back and Hunt at 5/8 were better.
For mine, we were controlling the game plan well during the first half of the season, then, when that stopped, we fell away.
That control of the game plan (depth, set plays, just getting into formations and keeping shape, support play ...) and our forward momentum has to return no matter who plays where, or we will lose. Simple as that.
Now who's job is that ... to keep the team together when things get tough, so that the tough can keep going? In my view that's all this team really needs - a real leader, or leaders, who call the plays, AND the players respond immediately by knowing where and when to be.
We have done it to the best, we can do it. Will a real leader or leaders please stand up.
