Round 26 Broncos vs Storm - Pre Game Discussion

If Hook is going to pick Lowrie he might as well start him at lock and get some decent minutes out of him. Are Molo/Hala injured at the moment? I would prefer to see one of them on the bench instead of Lowrie in the squad and start Hannant and McGuire with Parker at lock. I still hope Hoffman is okay for this week and can replace Maranta in the starting side.

Off topic but can someone post a video of Vidot destroying Widdop on his 10m line before making that great line break then losing it.

Just heard salter p'peters say that if the broncos and warriors win this weekend the warriors are in and the broncos are out... Keh??
 
Warriors are 7 points behind on f/a, they would need to get their f/a ahead of us for that to happen in that situation.
 
No, if we win, we are in the 8.

If we lose, we need Warriors and Eels to lose.


It's really that simple, every other game just affects what position in the 8 we finish.

If we win and Warriors also win, then Storm would be out of the finals, as both us and Warriors would have better points differential. The winning margin of those two matches would then decide who finishes 7th and 8th (assuming the Dogs win and Cowboys not getting flogged by 50+ points).
 
Last night, I had a dream.

There was 1 minute left, Broncos were down 10-12.

On the 5th tackle, Broncos go for the high ball to Reed. He jumps up, he bats it back, but the ball goes to ground. Because it goes to ground, Storm drop off. Hunt picks up the ball, every player around him is well covered by the defense but he notices he can get 1 on 1 with Cronk. He takes him on, he dummies, Cronk doesn't fall for it. Cronk tries to wrestle him down to the ground, and he succeeds. But in the last moment, Hunt gets an arm free and he reaches out to just put the ball on the line.

Ref takes it upstairs as a no try, short of the line. The replays seem to go on forever, but the reverse angle clearly shows the ball on the line. The video ref awards it, the Broncos win 16-12 and Storm are knocked out of the finals. A statue of Ben Hunt is put out the front of Suncorp a week later.
