Last night, I had a dream.

There was 1 minute left, Broncos were down 10-12.

On the 5th tackle, Broncos go for the high ball to Reed. He jumps up, he bats it back, but the ball goes to ground. Because it goes to ground, Storm drop off. Hunt picks up the ball, every player around him is well covered by the defense but he notices he can get 1 on 1 with Cronk. He takes him on, he dummies, Cronk doesn't fall for it. Cronk tries to wrestle him down to the ground, and he succeeds. But in the last moment, Hunt gets an arm free and he reaches out to just put the ball on the line.

Ref takes it upstairs as a no try, short of the line. The replays seem to go on forever, but the reverse angle clearly shows the ball on the line. The video ref awards it, the Broncos win 16-12 and Storm are knocked out of the finals. A statue of Ben Hunt is put out the front of Suncorp a week later.

I can imagine all of that happening, except at the end, the video ref upholds the onfield call of no try, despite clear evidence to the contrary

i think its because isaac luke is going to the judiciary as well and souths have their game on thursday, so it would be a bit inconvenient to have the hearing the night before the game.

Thaiday can be a lazy, penalty-giving moron at times. But if he's found guilty of a crusher tonight he'll be extremely hard done by. There was no intent, there wasn't even any manipulation of the tackler on his part. The dude simply backed in to him.

I expect the Broncos to perform rather well. Of the two teams, the Broncos form is better and there is precious
little difference in the teams this year.
I also think Melbourne will
be rattled by a good start with the Broncos dominating the first half. I'm only fearful they will have such a good start that they relax and the famous Storm spirit combined with the big game experience will see them come hard at the Broncos and narrowly lose. The football gods owe us that after the shocking shit they've dished up recently.....

If we lose Thaiday I don't think we will lose anything, in fact he weakens the team. I would'nt have picked him in the first place.

thaiday will get off i reckon. in their defense they are just going to show thaiday standing there smiling while griffin was doing the post game interview and say 'how could this bloke be guilty of doing anything wrong'.

This is one thing I want to see the Broncos do on Cronk...

this should be done to billy slater too on the first kick return he does for the match. and then give one to cam smith on his first touch even if it's after he's passed it from dummy half.
